Nashville, TN – Despite being held out of Victory Lane throughout the course of the 2024 season, Zach Stacy put together a season in which he only finished outside the top 10 one time and collected his first career Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman Powered by JEGS Championship. With the help of crew chief, Gary St. Amant, Stacy racked up four Top 5s and 8 Top 10s in nine races throughout the 2024 season.
Stacy kicked off the 2024 season with a runner-up finish at Shadybowl Speedway after a hard-fought battle with JP Crabtree to get the second spot at the line. Josh Smith won the season opener. The next two events, Stacy took his No.6 machine and finished in the matching position, first at Anderson Speedway before finishing 6th again in the Series’ first-ever visit to Owosso Speedway in Michigan.
The halfway mark of the season brought the Sportsman back to Anderson Speedway for the Madison County 200. The one race that Stacy finished outside the top ten as a result of a multi-car accident on lap 32. Stacy bounced back to finish fifth in August at Salem Speedway, an event that Will Kimmel dominated en route to his win.
Labor Day weekend, the Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman unloaded at Winchester Speedway where Billy Hutson and J.P. Crabtree paced the field, but Stacy did what he needed to do in order to keep Logan Huckeba at bay finishing 8th. Stacy duplicated that finish in the final visit to Anderson Speedway for the McGowen Insurance 75 on September 14th. Then, Stacy closed out the battle for the championship during the 53rd Winchester 400 weekend finishing fifth in his final start of the season.
Stacy will officially be awarded his championship during the Championship Awards Ceremony in January. Additional details on the Awards Ceremony will be released in the coming weeks.
