Entry Forms Available for the Midwest 250 at Salem Speedway on June 3rd

Nashville, TN (Monday, May 22, 2023) – Officials with Champion Racing Association and Salem Speedway have released the entry forms for the Midwest 250 scheduled for Saturday, June 3rd featuring the ASA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS and the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance. The event marks the only time that either Series will unload at Salem Speedway in 2023.

The Midwest 100 for the ASA/CRA Super Series will be the first points-paying race of the 2023 season after the original regular-season opener at Anderson Speedway was washed away back in April. The Series hasn’t raced since the SpeedFest event at Watermelon Capital Speedway in January.

The Super Series first appeared at Salem Speedway in their inaugural season in 1997, an event that future champion Kenny Tweedy won. Since then, Salem has hosted the Super Series a total of 24 times. In recent history, Salem Speedway is a newcomer to the regular season schedule. After the 2009 season, the track was off the calendar for 10 seasons until the 2021 season when it returned for the first time.

ASA/CRA Super Series Entry Form

On June 3rd, the Super Series will race for $5,000 to win and is also the first chance for drivers to become eligible for the additional $2,000 in bonus money as part of the ASA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS Winner Circle Program, plus hundreds of dollars in contingency and event awards. The Midwest 100 is also the first of two chances for an ASA/CRA Super Series driver to earn championship points that could be used toward a provisional at the ASA STARS National Tour’s Redbud 400 at Anderson Speedway.

In the time that Salem was off the Super Series schedule, the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour began their tenure at the historic half-mile. In 2013 the series contested their first event at Salem, won by eventual champion Cody Coughlin. Six other events have been held at the Speedway since then.

JEGS/CRA All-Stars Entry Form

The Midwest 100 for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour will be the second event of the 2023 season. Chase Burda dominated the opening event race of the year at Birch Run Speedway winning Triple Crown Race #1. On June 3rd, JEGS drivers will also have the continued chance to become or stay eligible for their $2,000 bonus with their Winner Circle Program. Each race also carries more weight this year as CRA returns to a traditional championship points structure for the first time in several years.

Salem Speedway, under new management in 2023, has undergone significant improvement since Champion Racing Association last visited the Speedway. Large portions of the aging racing surface have been redone giving drivers a smoother and safer track to compete on.

Fans who wish to attend the Saturday, June 3rd Midwest 250 for the ASA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS, the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance, and the Great American Stock Cars can purchase advanced tickets from Track Enterprises here.
