Nashville, TN (Thursday, April 20, 2023) – Officials with Champion Racing Association and Shadybowl Speedway have released the digital Entry Form for the 150-lap CRA Street Stock Series Powered by JEGS Four Crown Race Number One scheduled for Sunday, May 7th. The first event of the CRA Street Stock’s prestigious, Four Crown, returns to the sight of the first race of the 2023 season, where fans were treated to a memorable race back on April 2nd.
As expected, the earlier race held at Shadybowl Speedway produced fantastic side-by-side racing. Fans enjoyed multiple groups of cars racing for position, including a three-car battle for the win that wasn’t decided until the final five laps of the race. Shadybowl also kicked off a string of first-time winners with Champion Racing Association that has continued through the next three events. The contenders for the April 2nd race, Blaine Akin (winner), Jason Atkinson (2nd), and Dalton Conner (3rd), have now all notched their names in the history books as CRA Street Stock Series winners.
Several names have taken the throne as royalty in the Four Crown since its inception in 2014. Four-time CRA Street Stock Series Champion, Jason Atkinson has won the title four times, while Brett Hudson, Chuck Barnes, Jr, and Jacob McElresh have also been seated as royalty. The first Four Crown Race at Shadybowl will pay $3,000 to the winner; meanwhile, the Four Crown Champion will take home a $2,000 bonus.
The May 7th Four Crown Race Number One kicks off the Street Stock Four Crown, nestled right in the middle of the 2023 regular season. Just six days after Shadybowl, the Series prepares to head for Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway, host of Four Crown Race Number Two on Saturday, May 13th. Then, on Saturday, June 24th, teams head back to the birthplace of CRA, Anderson Speedway for Four Crown Race Number Three, and finally, on Saturday, August 12th, the Four Crown Series wraps up at Anderson Speedway.
