Winchester Speedway On Deck For Trent Snyder

Glen Ellyn, Illinois (Friday, September 4, 2015): Multi-time Winchester Speedway winner Trent Snyder will be back at the high banks this weekend, when the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS returns to the track on September 7th for the Winchester 100 presented by JEGS.com.

“We’ve done really well at Winchester in the past, so it’s always exciting when we’re getting ready to go back there,” says the former Pro Late Model standout. “Our package is really strong, and I think that we can perform just as well there in our Super Late Model as we have in our Pro Late Model. It’s all just going to come down to making good decisions in the pits and responsible decisions on the track”

Snyder is one of 32 teams that will haul from across the country for this weekend’s event. With numerous champions and Crown Jewel winners entered, Snyder welcomes the challenge of competing against some of the top names in the Super Late Model division.

“The entry list is full of elite-level teams – which is one of the best parts about coming to Winchester,” explains Snyder. “You know that when you unload there you’re going up against the best of the best. Everyone wants to win at Winchester. It’s the kind of place that guys tell stories about. It’s not easy to win there – but you’ll remember it forever if you do”

Unlike the famous Winchester 400 – scheduled for October 11thMonday’s event will be a relatively short 100-lap dash.

“100-laps is not a lot of time to work with,” says the fan-favorite. “We know that time trials are going to be incredibly tight, so a good start position is going to make all the difference. Winchester is one of the toughest tracks we go to all year. Mentally and physically it can take a toll on you. You’re absolutely flying around that place. You’re hardly off the gas at all, and you’re right up next to the wall all the way around. There’s absolutely zero room for error”

“The ‘400’ is a grueling race, but it’s an event that we’ve been looking forward to all season,” continues Snyder. “This weekend is going to be the perfect tune up for us. We want to come back here in October with a car that can run up front – and the only way to do that is to learn as much as we can this weekend. We’ve won the last two Labor Day shows at Winchester in our Pro Late Model, so I think we’ll be able to show up with a car capable of running with some of the best teams on the property”

When Snyder’s family-run effort unloads this weekend, his familiar No. 88 will have a new look to honor marketing partner Mitch Smith Auto Service.

“We’ve got a brand new look for this weekend to thank Mitch Smith Auto Service for all that he’s done for us this season,” explains the Illinois resident. “Mitch has been such an enormous supporter of us, I could never begin to thank him enough. He’s from Anderson, IN and has been going to Winchester for years – so hopefully we can get him to victory lane by the time it’s all said and done.”
