Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman Ready to Battle the Mt. Lawn Speedway Late Models Sunday

Salem, IN (June 16, 2022) – The Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman Powered by JEGS will return to action after being off for two months this Sunday at Mt. Lawn Speedway, located just outside New Castle, IN. Austin Coe won the Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman event at Mt. Lawn Speedway in 2021.

 

Ohio native Ryan Fleming got his first ever series win in the series season opener at Shadybowl Speedway on April 3rd as part of the CRA Cabin Fever Championships. Jeff Marcum got the win in the series second event of the season at Anderson Speedway on April 16th.

 

2021 series Rookie of the Year Kyle Worley comes into Sunday’s event as the series points leader after two events so far in 2022. Series rookie Greg Stilwel Jr. is currently second in series points, he is eight points behind Worley. Veteran Indiana racer Kent Carson is in third place, he is 14 points behind Stilwel Jr. Jason Timmerman is in fourth place, he is 16 points behind Carson. Cassten Everidge is in fifth place, he is six points behind Timmerman.

 

Sunday’s event will feature Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman battling against the Mt. Lawn Speedway JW Photography Late Models to see who can conquer the tricky track and go to victory lane. Teams have the option of running the  Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman rules package or the Mt. Lawn Speedway JW Photography Late Models rules package. The event will pay $1,000 to win down to $200 to start. Mt. Lawn Speedway promoter has put up a $500 cash bonus to the highest finishing Mt. Lawn Speedway JW Photography Late Model Sunday evening.

 

Pit gates open on Sunday at 1pm. Practice will begin at 3:30pm. The series second practice session will also be Allstar Performance Group Qualifying. The race program is set to begin at 6:00pm and will include the 50-lap feature for the Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman and the Mt. Lawn Speedway Late Models. Also racing that night will be the Mt. Lawn Speedway Pro Compacts, Stock Compacts and Crown Vic’s.
