ARCA/CRA Super Series heads back to West Michigan for 20th all-time event
Wyoming, Michigan (Tuesday, May 12, 2015): So far during the 2015 racing season, Brian Campbell is a perfect two for two in the two races he has entered. The 2015 ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS season opener, the 7-Up 100 Presented by Royal Truck & Trailer Sales at Toledo Speedway in Toledo, Ohio on April 11th. Then again in the Boyne Machine Company Super Late Model Series season opening 60-lap feature at his home track of Berlin Raceway in Marne, Michigan just 20 minutes from his Wyoming, Michigan home on May 2nd.
The third race of the season for Campbell and his Lakeshore Motorsports Team will combine elements of his first two races of the season. The ARCA/CRA Super Series returns to Berlin on Saturday, May 16th for the Berlin 125. This event will be the 20th all-time appearance by the Salem, Indiana based series at the tricky 7/16s (0.437) mile semi-banked paved oval. In 19 races conducted in West Michigan, Campbell has won six of those events, including his last CRA victory at his home track back on May 31st, 2014.
“We always look forward to racing at Berlin anytime that we can. Especially when the ARCA/CRA Super Series comes in for a show,” Stated the 36-year-old standout as he and the crew prepare to return home to race in front of a partisan hometown crowd that is expected. “We’ve been fortunate enough to win a few of the CRA races and we always have a ton of support from family, friends, everybody when we’re there. I’m hoping we can pull off another one.” He added.
The six career ARCA/CRA Super Series triumphs at Berlin account for 40% of his 15 overall ARCA/CRA Super Series victories in the series 19-year history, good for fifth all-time on the wins list. Campbell is also starting to climb the ladder of nearly every statistical category in series history including ninth all-time in career laps led with a whopping 984 circuits out in front of the field. Overall he is within the top 20 of all categories all-time establishing himself as one of the most successful driver in series history.
