Two-Time Champ Braden Ready to Kick Off 2015 at Toledo

(Special from Travis Braden Motorsports)

Wheeling, West Virginia (April 7, 2015) – As the 2015 racing season approaches, Two-Time and Reigning ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS champion,
Travis Braden is looking ahead towards the future. While the chance at becoming the first driver in Champion Racing Association’s 19-year history to ‘three-peat’ is
intriguing to say the least, the 21-year-old is taking the upcoming season one race at a time. It all begins at the fast 1/2 (0.500) mile high-banked paved oval of
Toledo Speedway in Toledo, Ohio on Saturday, April 11th.

The 7-Up 100 Presented by Royal Truck & Trailer Sales is the first points race of  the new season for the ARCA/CRA Super Series. Braden will be in attendance in

his familiar #01 West Virginia University / Chevrolet. However, after Toledo, the rest of 2015 schedule is not finalized. Tentative plans are for the Wheeling, West
Virginia standout to make some starts in the ARCA Racing Series Presented by Menards as well as the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East. But first things first for
Braden; A date at Toledo with a little redemption in mind.

“First of all I’m very excited to get back to Toledo and see if we can get some redemption for ourselves from last year. Led every lap up to about lap 50 and had
an electrical failure. Looked like we had a great shot to win our first race of 2014 and without a doubt a top three,” Explained Braden when reflecting on last year’s
race. “That was heartbreaking for our team who all had high hopes in our first race together.”

As for the rest of the season, a chance at ‘three-peating’ in the ARCA/CRA Super Series may not come about. “We do not have a set plan or schedule at this point. We want to definitely hit all the big shows like Winchester and Berlin, and definitely do my home track race at Columbus.” The Mountaineer State driver continued. “We are also looking to expand into a broader spectrum of racing and really that would mean we are working on making 2016 a big year and using 2015 as a ‘building up’ year and preparing for that.” He ended.

During his title run in 2014 within the ARCA/CRA Super Series, Braden won his second straight championship by 47 points over Ross Kenseth (1315-1268). He visited victory lane twice with those triumphs coming at Columbus Motor Speedway (OH) on August 2nd in the JEGS Bud St. Amant Memorial 174 and again two weeks later at Flat Rock Speedway (MI) on August 16th in the 7-Up 125. Those wins went with an impressive 11 consecutive top five finishes to close out the year en route to repeat title. Those top five’s also accounted for his 11 top 10 finishes.

In three years of full-time ARCA/CRA Super Series competition, the statistics have been impressive to say the least. In 43 career starts spanning from 2012-2014, Braden has scored an impressive six wins, which places him in a four-way tie for 11th all-time with the likes of 2007 Champion, Chris Gabehart and 2003 Champion, Bobby Parsley. In addition, long-time CRA veteran, Bull Baker is also in that foursome. Braden has also recorded 23 top five finishes as well as 27 top 10 showings. He also has five Fast Qualifier Awards and 639 career laps led out of 6,351 laps turned in ARCA/CRA action.
