Glen Ellyn, Illinois (Tuesday, April 14, 2015): Pro Late Model ace Trent Snyder has confirmed that his family-run team will focus their 2015 efforts on select races with the esteemed ARCA/CRA Super Series and ARCA Midwest Tour.
Snyder’s schedule will take him to Anderson Speedway’s “Anderson 125” on April 25th, Rockford Speedway’s “All-Star 100” on June 27th, Anderson’s “RedBud 300” on July 18th and Winchester Speedway’s “World Stock Car Festival 100” on September 7th and “Winchester 400” on October 10th and 11th.
“It feels like 2015 is the year where everything comes full circle for us,” muses Snyder. “I started out in Super Late Models and transitioned into crate motor racing when the Pro Late Model division really started to take off”
“We had a lot of success with the Pro Late Model, so we stuck with it. But we had always intended to come back to the Super Late Model division. I can’t explain how excited I am to concentrate our season on our Super Late Model”
Now 31-years old, Snyder enters the Midwestern Super Late Model scene as a veteran in a landscape heavily populated with young and emerging talent.
“The last time we were prepping a Super Late Model for a season of racing, it felt a lot different,” laughs Snyder. “There’s no pressure on us at all. We’re not racing for points – we’re just trying to come out and win as many races as possible”
“Some of the races that we’ve penciled into our schedule for this season are events that I’ve wanted to win for a long time. I’m fortunate enough right now to be surrounded by some fantastic people, and have the backing of some great sponsors that could make these wins a reality”
“A lot of our marketing partners are local businesses and people that have watched me race for years, which makes it that much more special,” continues the veteran. “Mitch Smith Auto Service of Anderson, Indiana is a brand new sponsor that I’m really excited to perform for. His business is just a stone’s throw from what I consider to be our best track, so I hope we can make him proud this season”. Area businessman Jim Mougeotte and his Great Deals Coupon Magazine will also return to Trent Snyder Racing in 2015.
Of Snyder’s five career JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour victories, three have come at Anderson Speedway. The Indiana quarter-mile has become Snyder’s adopted hometrack, and is the facility he most looks forward to returning to in a Super Late Model.
“I think flying around Anderson just might be the highlight of our season,” says Snyder. “I love that place. I’m not sure why, but I’ve always loved the real tight short tracks. Places like Anderson and Rockford. It suits my driving style. You really have to get up on the wheel there”
“Rick Dawson and his staff have done such an incredible job at Anderson. The RedBud 300 is, without question, one of the biggest Super Late Model races in the Midwest”
“We’re looking forward to getting back there on April 25th and seeing exactly where we’re at with this Super Late Model program. We plan on learning as much as we can so that we’re ready for July 18th.”
Trent Snyder’s 2015 season would not be possible without the support of Mitch Smith Auto Service, Great Deals Savings Magazine, Medwest Associates, OvernightWraps.com, Richard Wahl Heating & Air Conditioning, JEGS, Five Star Bodies, Phil Harper Motorsports, Headman Headers and TheHook-Up.co.
