Coopersville, Michigan (Monday, December 21, 2015) – TK Racing and VanDoorn Racing Development will once again join forces for the 2016 racing season hoping to build on the success the two partners had in the 2014 season. “The 2014 season seems like a long time ago, but teaming with TK Racing that year went really well for both of us”, three time ARCA/CRA Super Series Champion Johnny VanDoorn said. “In 2015, we were only able to run one JEGS Tour race with TK Racing, but we are looking at running several races together in 2016. We are working on finalizing a schedule, but we do know that our first race will be at my favorite track, Toledo Speedway on April 16 with the ARCA/CRA Super Series” VanDoorn added.
Tom Kmak, owner of TK Racing is also excited about the 2016 season. “All of us at TK Racing are looking forward to the 2016 season” Kmak said. “John Signore and Brian Bank have been a part of TK Racing for many years and we have had a lot of success over the years. And the way our team meshed with Johnny, Butch, Ron Chaffee, Dirk Redder and Bob Verhaar in 2014 for a few races has us all looking forward to the start of the season.” “Winning the Battle at Berlin 251 ARCA/CRA Super Series event with Johnny in 2014 was a highlight for the TK Racing team, and with both of our organizations focused on Johnny driving, we hope to add to those highlights in 2016” Kmak added.
Kmak, who owns Lisa Thomas Salon with his wife Lisa, has been impressed with how VanDoorn Racing Development has grown in such a short time. “I’m impressed with what Johnny and Butch have done with building their business. They put customers first and that’s what we do in our Lisa Thomas Salon’s” Kmak said. “Starting a business from the ground up is tough and the VanDoorn’s have done a great job of building their business by building quality cars and putting customers first”. I’m really looking forward to the 2016 season and seeing what our two organizations can accomplish with Johnny behind the wheel” Kmak said.
Look for the #71 Lisa Thomas car at Toledo Speedway on April 16th. A schedule will be released once it is finalized.
