The Hoosier Daddy 100 Four Crown Event Up Next for the Van Hoy Oil CRA Street Stocks

Salem, IN (June 3, 2021) – The Van Hoy Oil CRA Street Stocks Powered by JEGS will be back in action this Saturday in the Hoosier Daddy 100 Presented by Indy Fuel on the famous High Banks of Winchester Speedway, located just outside of Winchester, Indiana. That event will be the first of three events the series will have at Winchester Speedway in 2021. The series will also be part of the new King of the High Banks event over Labor Day Weekend and the series Season Championship event that will once again be part of the famed Winchester 400 Weekend. 

Saturday’s Hoosier Daddy 100 will be the second Four Crown event of the season for the series. Jason Atkinson won the first Four Crown event of the season on May 1st at Shadybowl Speedway. The third Four Crown event will be at Anderson Speedway on Saturday, June 26th and the Four Crown Series Championship event will be at Anderson Speedway on Saturday, August 14th.

The CRA Street Stock Four Crown series began in 2014 as a three-race mini-series and has taken many iterations in its history. Jason Atkinson has won the Four Crown title four times, with those championships coming in 2015, 2016, 2019 and 2020. Chuck Barnes Jr. and Jacob McElfresh have also claimed titles.

In addition to the $3000 minimum to win for each event, there will be a Points Champion from the four events who will receive a $1000 bonus. Second in points will receive a $600 bonus, third place a $400 bonus, then there will be two $250 bonuses from a random draw from the cars that attended all four events. Each of the Four Crown Series events will be 4 tire races, all four will have a halfway break to add fuel and make adjustments. Each Four Crown event winner and the overall Champion will receive a specially designed buckle from Crumrine Buckle Manufacturing.

Saturday’s event will be the fifth event of the season for the Van Hoy Oil CRA Street Stocks. Jason Atkinson got the win in the series season points opener on April 17th at Anderson Speedway.  Chuck Barnes Sr. won a special non-points series event at Salem Speedway on April 25th. Atkinson got his win in the Four Crown event at Shadybowl Speedway on May 1st. Chuck Barnes Jr. picked up the win in the series last event at Salem Speedway on May 15th

With his two wins and a second in the series three point events this season, Atkinson comes into Saturday night’s event as the series points leader. Andrew Teepe is in second place, he is 22 points behind Atkinson. Jordan Hahn is in third place, he is 44 points behind Teepe. Hudson is in fourth place, 39 points behind Hahn. Alan Williams Jr. is in fifth place, he is five points behind Hudson. 

There is an open practice at Winchester Speedway on Friday, pit gates open at 4pm with open practice from 6pm to 9pm. Pit Gates open on Saturday at 12pm. The Van Hoy Oil CRA Street Stocks will have two practice sessions starting at 2:30pm. Allstar Performance Qualifying is set to begin at 6:00pm. The race program will begin at 7pm and will include the Hoosier Daddy 100 Presented by Indy Fuel for the Van Hoy Oil CRA Street Stocks. Also racing Saturday will be the Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman Powered by JEGS in the Mrs. Wick’s Pies 51. 

A special treat to all those in attendance is on Saturday with the return of the Winchester Old-Timers Reunion. More than 50 vintage cars, from various eras of racing around America, will be making laps on Winchester’s famed high banks. Fans will also have the opportunity to take pictures and sit in some of the machines that will come off the track and onto the midway afterwards.

After all the racing is complete, a special fireworks display will be featured to help kickoff summertime in the Midwest. The world famous Scarrette Pyrotechnics company out of Richmond, IN will be putting on an electrifying show for all fans in attendance.
