Charlotte, North Carolina (Tuesday, May 5, 2015): In his JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour debut, Matt Mills impressed. The 18-year old Ohio native had driven the No. 5 Thompson Electric Ford Fusion up into the top-10 before a mechanical failure ended his day.
In what was one of the strongest JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour fields in recent memory, Mills qualified 11th, and raced inside the top-15 much of the day. Passing for 10th, he suffered a mechanical failure and finished a disappointing
“The car started off pretty good,” Mills said. “However, on long long runs It started to get really tight and it just didn’t feel as strong as it needed to be. Around halfway, we had some bad luck with a mechanical failure and were not able to finish. We will be back at Columbus refocused and ready to go with a brand new car
Mills will return to the No. 4 Mills Motorsports Outlaw Super Late Model nextSaturday, May 9, 2015 with the Main Event Racing Series at Sandusky Speedway (OH). On Friday, May 15, 2015, he will make his debut in the No. 4 Lindsey Bristol Racing NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Late Model at Motordrome Speedway (PA).
