Speed51.com and ARCA Midwest Tour Team Up for Midwest Tour Live

Popular Series and Website Partners in an Exclusive Program

by Speed51.com Staff
This weekend will mark the debut of Midwest Tour Live, a new partnership between the popular ARCA Midwest Tour and Speed51.com, the nation’s leading asphalt short track racing news website. Speed51.com’s staff will provide live web updates, photos and behind-the-scenes coverage from ARCA Midwest Tour events in 2014.

The exclusive partnership is one piece of the overall plan for #TheNew51 for Speed51.com, while also providing a boost in exposure for the Midwest Tour’s racers, tracks, events and sponsors.

“We are entering our eighth season and our fan base continues to grow.  This helps not only our series, but also our marketing partners as well with the continuous growth and exposure,” said Steve Einhaus, Vice President of the ARCA Midwest Tour.  “This year, we have events in six different states and Midwest Tour Live will allow us to reach out to fans that are not near one of our events.  This will keep them interested and up to date with our series that when we come to a track near them, they will be eager to see the event in person, get a chance to visit our marketing partners booths and meet our drivers.  All of these will make them lifelong fans of the ARCA Midwest Tour.”

The first Midwest Tour Live will take place this weekend with the sixth annual Joe Shear Classic 100 at Madison International Speedway in Oregon, Wisconsin on Sunday afternoon.

The series currently has 12 events on their 2014 schedule. This includes the third annual ARCAFest at the Milwaukee Mile on June 6-8.

Since the series started in 2007, the ARCA Midwest Tour and Spee51.com have been working together to help with the growth of the series. During the off-season, Bob Dillner, Speed51.com founder and FOX Sports broadcaster, met with series owners Tim Olson and Einhaus to discuss what could be done to take their partnership to the next level.

“We sat down and discussed what each other’s goals were and how can we help achieve those goals,” Dillner said. “Tim and Steve were looking for how we can help generate more exposure for their competitors and sponsors. Midwest Tour Live will help them and we are excited to partner up this new idea.

“Midwest Tour Live is part of #TheNew51. This is an exclusive program with the Midwest Tour to help create more exposure. It is not designed to deter fans from going to the track, but to enhance their experience at the track by viewing our coverage on their smartphone or tablet. The Midwest Tour has a big following and this will help fans be involved at a series event if they are not close to the event. This helps keep interests in the series throughout the year which in turns helps the drivers gain new fans and their partners gain more customers.”

Midwest Tour Live will operate under the same platform 51’s popular Trackside Now coverage. Speed51.com will have a dedicated staff at each event to help provide the latest news and information as it is happening. Fans can also interact with questions or comments within the coverage.
