Seventh Place Finish At LOR Has 14-Year-Old Hunter Jack Optimistic Heading To Anderson Speedway

CRA Late Model Sportsman Series to run second race in two weeks at adopted home track

Auburn, Indiana (Wednesday, April 29, 2015): After the 6th annual Cabin Fever Championships which were scheduled for March 29th were canceled due to weather, the Spring Classic 30, part of the Lucas Oil Raceway Stock Car Series Presented by Visit Hendricks County would kick off the 2015 racing season for 14-year-old Hunter Jack. Although a non-points race for the Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman Series Powered by JEGS, the event was for the LOR Stock Car Series points and that was just fine for the Hoosier State teenager.

 

After qualifying 14th out of 21 cars on the property, the Auburn, Indiana teenager methodically worked his way through the field and came home with a solid seventh place finish in his second career appearance at the immaculate 0.686 mile semi-banked paved oval. “The Brent Jack Racing Team had a pretty good night. We still need to figure out how to get the car to flow through the center and off the corner better, but that’ll come in time,” Offered Jack after the race.

 

The next race on the schedule for the CRA Late Model Sportsman Series is set for Saturday, May 2nd with the first of four appearances at the fast 1/4 (0.250) mile high-banked paved oval of Anderson Speedway in Anderson, Indiana for the Anderson 75. “I’m looking forward to Anderson. I’ve never been there before to race. It’ll be a great experience and hopefully the car will be good enough for a win.” Jack added.

 

In addition to running the entire schedule within the CRA Late Model Sportsman Series, Jack will also race as often as possible at Angola Motorsport Speedway (IN) as well as at Baer Field Speedway (IN) in each tracks weekly Late Model Sportsman division on CRA off weekends. In addition, the teenager looks to make a handful of starts in one of his Dad’s Outlaw Bodied Super Late Models as well as an appearance or two in the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS.

 

Jack made two appearances in the CRA Late Model Sportsman Series in 2014 in anticipation of a full run in 2015. In his first ever appearance with CRA back on August 10th, 2014 when the series came to Angola, he finished sixth after starting 11th in the 50-lap main. His second and final race within the series was at LOR during the 2014 CRA Fall Brawl on September 28th he finished ninth after starting 12th.

 

Also during the 2014 season at Angola, Jack, in his rookie season scored a ninth place finish in the final point’s standings despite missing some events. He picked up one Feature Win which came on August 31st during Season Championships / Hall of Fame night as he led all 50 laps to post his first career Feature triumph.

 

For the rest of the 2015 racing season, Jack’s blue #41 Brent Jack Racing / Chevrolet SS will carry sponsorship support and decals from Auburn Concrete and Masonry as well as Brent’s Automotive Repair, Hartman Auto Body, Krieger Racing Engines, Ben Davis Chevrolet, , Wild Willie’s Towing and M.P.H. Promotions.
