Hunter Jack will make the move up to a traveling series for the 2015 racing season. Jack, the son of Outlaw Super Late Model standout, Brent Jack, will
embark on a run for the 2015 Rookie of the Year title in the Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman Series Powered by JEGS starting on Saturday-Sunday,
March 28-29th at Lucas Oil Raceway (IN) in the co-headlining event of the 6th annual Cabin Fever Championships.
“I’m really excited to be traveling with the CRA Late Model Sportsman Series this season and going after the Rookie of the Year title. There’s some strong
competitors overall and a good field of fellow rookies in the series,” Stated the Auburn, Indiana teenager as he and his Brent Jack Racing Team, owned by his
parents, Brent and Denise Jack, make final preparations for the trip south. “Lucas Oil Raceway is a big track and I’m really excited about the Stock Car Series there
this year as well. It’s pretty neat to be able to run at such a prestigious facility to start our season with CRA.” He added.
In addition to running all 12 races within the CRA Late Model Sportsman Series, Jack will also race as often as possible back at Angola in the tracks weekly Late Model Sportsman division as well as at the newly reopened Baer Field Speedway (IN). In addition, the teenager looks to make a handful of starts in one of his Dad’s Outlaw Bodied Super Late Models as well as an appearance in the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS.
Jack made two appearances in the CRA Late Model Sportsman Series in 2014 in anticipation of a full run in 2015. In his first ever appearance with CRA back on August 10th, 2014 when the series came to Angola, he finished sixth after starting 11th in the 50-lap main. His second and final race within the series was at LOR during the 2014 CRA Fall Brawl on September 28th he finished ninth after starting 12th. The first race of 2015 will be Jack’s second appearance in the Circle City while the events at Anderson Speedway and Winchester Speedway will be new tracks to the Hoosier State teenager.
Also during the 2014 season at Angola, Jack, in his rookie season scored a ninth place finish in the final point’s standings despite missing some events. He picked up one Feature Win which came on August 31st during Season Championships / Hall of Fame night as he led all 50 laps to post his first career Feature triumph in style. During the year, he posted consistent top five finishes throughout the second half of the season.
Jack began his racing career in Quarter Midgets at just five years old. In 2006-2007 he raced in that class until moving into Go-Karts. His first year he won the Sportsman Junior Champ title at Baer Field Speedway’s go-kart track. After finishing in second the following season, he returned to the champions’ throne in 2010. The final two seasons in the class he finished fourth in the points while missing events both years.
The 2013 racing season would see a 12-year-old Jack move into full-bodied stock cars by racing in the Mini Stocks division at Angola. He would capture the Rookie of the Year title while finishing an impressive seventh in the final point’s standings. He won two Heat Races that year as well.
For the 2015 racing season, Jack’s blue #41 Brent Jack Racing / Chevrolet SS will carry sponsorship support and decals from Auburn Concrete and Masonry as well as Brent’s Automotive Repair, Hartman Auto Body, Krieger Racing Engines, Ben Davis Chevrolet, , Wild Willie’s Towing and M.P.H. Promotions.
