Charlotte, North Carolina (Thursday, May 7, 2015): 18-year-old Matt Mills from New Philadelphia, Ohio has a busy 2015 race season ahead of him. He will split his time on-track between two different Template Pro Late Models, and his family owned Outlaw Super Late Model.
After a successful run at South Alabama Speedway (AL) in March, Mills resigned with Rick Turner Racing to make a run at the 2015 JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance Championship. He made his series debut this past weekend at Springport Motor Speedway. A strong run was derailed when his No. 5 Thompson Electric Ford experienced a mechanical failure. Despite the bad luck, the team remains positive and believes they can compete for the series championship, as well as the Howie Lettow Rookie of the Year Award.
Mills will also run select events at Motordrome Speedway (PA) and Columbus Motor Speedway (OH) with Lindsay Bristol Racing, driving the No. 4 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Late Model. The No. 4 Mills Motorsports Outlaw Super Late Model will also see track time with Mills behind the wheel. He will run a select number of Main Event Racing Series races, as well as, other events at venues such as Midvale Speedway (OH).
Throughout the entire 2015 season, Mills is proud to represent Thompson Electric. Thompson Electric, Inc. is a diverse full-service electrical contractor with highly trained and experienced crews that can perform any electrical task.
