Salem, Indiana (Friday, June 19, 2015): The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance event scheduled for this Saturday at Salem Speedway has been canceled because of the forecast of heavy rains and possible flooding in the area on Friday and Saturday. Salem Speedway and CRA officials decided it was in the best interest of everyone if the event was canceled.
“We are extremely disappointed that impending weather conditions have once again impacted our 2015 racing schedule,” said track general manager Richard Deaton. “We are always hesitant to cancel an event early knowing that the forecast can be incorrect. However, all indicators point to a high probability of inclement weather throughout southern Indiana on Saturday.”
Unfortunately a reschedule date for the event is not available on the busy JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour schedule for the remaining 2015 season. The next series event will be the rescheduled Mercy Masters of the Pros 144 at Lebanon I-44 Speedway on July 3rd and 4th.
