Anderson, Indiana (Saturday, May 9, 2015): With 12 laps remaining it looked like Robert Amos Jr. was going to finish outside the top five, but following a rash of caution flags among the leaders he won the CRA Street Stock feature at Anderson Speedway.

The first of the cautions that scrambled the front runners came up lap 64 when Jimmy Kirby made contact with Jason Atkinson while the two drivers battle for the fifth spot.

Both drivers were sent to the tail of the field and when Kirby objected to the official’s decision was black-flagged for the night.

The intensity continued on the restart with Calvin Parham spinning into the infield of lap 65 after making contact with leader Colby Lane. Parham’s night was finished.

For the next three laps Josh Poore turned up the pressure on Lane and he finally made the pass with an inside move coming off the second corner.

But Poore’s run at the point ended on lap 72 when he spun in turn three after contact from Lane while the two battled for the win.

That set up a three-lap shoot out with Robert Amos Sr. and Robert Amos Jr. lined up on the front row.
The father and son duo ran side by side for almost one lap before Amos Jr. was able to take the top spot with an outside pass on the front straight.

Amos was followed to the checkers by his father, Jacob McElfresh, Danny Adams and Atkinson.

“This is awesome,” Amos Jr. said in the AutoFarm McCrocklin Ford Winner’s Circle. “This is my first feature win ever and I beat the old man.”

Lane was looking for this third consecutive Champion Racing Association Street Stock win and led the first five laps before giving way to Kirby.

He retook the lead on lap 32 with an inside pass of Kirby coming off the fourth corner and twice built-up comfortable leads, both wiped out by caution flags.
