Salem, IN (November 9, 2021) – R & D Racing, owned by Stan and Judi Rosen, have been competing with the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS for several years, mostly on a part-time basis with some success with driver Kyle Crump, including their first series win at Kalamazoo Speedway in August of 2019 and a great second place finish in the 2020 Winchester 400.
R & D Racing decided to step up their schedule in 2021 and made a run at the series Chase for the Championship along with looking for some big event wins led by Crew Chief John VanDoorn. The first big win came at the 55th Annual Redbud 400 at Anderson Speedway on July 12th. Crump took the lead on lap 399 and beat Sammy Smith to the line for the biggest win in R & D Racing’s and Crump’s CRA career to date. For the win and providing a fast racecar, the team picked up the Pitboxes.com Pit Crew of the Race Award.
The R & D Racing team and Crump picked up another big victory in the Battle at Berlin 150 at Berlin Raceway on August 21st, beating fellow Michigan competitor Brian Campbell to get that win. The team just missed a third victory at Toledo Speedway in the Glass City 200 event on September 18, when first time CRA winner Blake Rowe just beat Crump passing him on the white flag lap in one of the closest finishes in series history.
For their hard work and never give up attitude, the R & D Racing team has been named the ARCA/CRA Super Series 2021 Pitboxes.com Pit Crew of the Year Award winners. The team gave 100% each week and more, to keep themselves competitive at each series event racing against some of the best racers in the country.

I must thank Johnny VanDoorn first a foremost, he took over as crew chief this year and it was exactly what we needed to become a consistently competitive car for wins. John Glen, a family friend of the Rosen’s, who helps with everything at track and puts a lot of time in at the race shop. Brian Blackmore, my spotter for many years now and continues to put up with me when I’m on the track. My family, my mother, dad, and sister are always at the track helping in any way possible. Lastly, all my friends that show up at the track depending on who can get time off work or are not racing themselves.
