Quinnton Bear Set To Race With The ARCA/CRA Super Series At Lucas Oil Raceway With Travis Braden Motorsports

JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Rookie points leader to steer familiar #01 machine in the Circle City

Avon, Indiana (Wednesday, July 22, 2015): For 19-year-old Quinnton Bear, his primary focus has been on the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance and his statistics have shown he’s a solid contender in the series. So far in 2015, he’s leading the Howie Lettow Memorial Rookie of the Year title chase while sitting fourth in the overall point’s standings. However, Bear and his Father and Car Owner, Fred Bear have an eye towards the future for the Avon, Indiana teenager and an eventual move up to the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS. That time has come.

Bear will make his second career start in Champion Racing Association’s (CRA) premier tour, but first behind the wheel of a legitimate Super Late Model on Friday, July 24th at the immaculate 0.686 mile progressively banked paved oval of Lucas Oil Raceway (IN). The Circle City 100 Presented by Greg Hubler Chevrolet will see Bear strap in the #01 West Virginia University / Chevrolet normally driven by Two-Time Reigning ARCA/CRA Super Series Champion, Travis Braden who will be concentrating on making his debut later that night with the ARCA Racing Series Presented by Menards.

“I’m ready to hop in to a Super Late Model for the first time.  With 200 more horsepower under the hood, it’ll definitely feel a little different then the Crate care I’m used to running.” Explained the Hoosier State teenager. “LOR isn’t one of my stronger tracks, but its part of the learning process and this is such a big race, especially since it’s my home track. I can’t think my sponsors and my Mom and Dad enough for giving me the opportunity to go racing and do what love.  I really appreciate Travis Braden, Don Braden and the whole Travis Braden Motorsports Team for letting me race their hot rod on Friday.” He added. Bear’s Crew Chief, Gary St. Amant, who also serves in the same role for Braden will do so again for Bear in this event.

In Bear’s only other appearance in the ARCA/CRA Super Series, he strapped on Hoosier 10-inch slicks and made several modifications to his CRA Late Model Sportsman for the Redbud 300 at Anderson Speedway (IN) back on June 14th. He came away with a 20th place showing in his under powered machine. It was also in 2014 where he raced for the first time in a full-sized Late Model competing in the CRA Late Model Sportsman Series where he won two events and one fast qualifier award as a rookie, was the 2014 Rookie Runner-Up in the series and finished sixth overall in points.

So far in 2015 within the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour, he’s the top freshman so far in the tour while sitting fourth overall in points. To his credit he has two top five finishes with a strong season high finish of a second at Dixie Motor Speedway (MI) on July 10th in the Dixie 100 Presented by JEGS.com. His two top five’s also account for his two top 10 showings and he is one of only two drivers to have competed in every JEGS/CRA race this season when including the non-points SpeedFest 2015 back in January at Watermelon Capital Speedway (GA).

For the Circle City 100 Presented by Greg Hubler Chevrolet, Bear will steer the familiar #01 West Virginia University / Chevrolet normally driven by Travis Braden and will also carry all of Braden’s sponsorship support and decals including those from Braden’s A-1 Towing & Collision as well as RememberTheMiners.org, Matheson Valley Gases, Stoney Hollow Tire, Elms Grove Eagles #1891, A.D. Baker Construction, M.P.H. Promotions, and Travis Braden Motorsports.

For the rest of the 2015 racing season in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour, Bear’s familiar white #94 Buzze Racing / Quinnton Bear Racing / Chevrolet will have additional sponsorship decals from  Bear’s Lawn Service as well as Bassett Racing Wheels, Sparco, PGG Enterprises, McGunegill Engine Performance and M.P.H. Promotions.
