Performance Friction Continues Support of ARCA Midwest Tour for 2013

by Gregg Paul
Performance Friction will return in 2013 to sponsor the ARCA Midwest Tour presented by SCAG Power Equipment and Lester Buildings. Touting their new ZR34 calipers and their joint efforts with Lefthander Chassis, Performance Friction is looking to reward the competitors that use their full package consisting of calipers, pads, and discs. Lefthander and PFC will present the certificates to competitors at each race and can be redeemed at Lefthander for any PFC product.

“We want to be involved with the ARCA Midwest Tour because it is a growing and prospering series in the region of the country where a lot of great racers are found,” said Christopher Dilbeck from Performance Friction. “Many of the cars associated with the ARCA Midwest Tour are not only the best in the series, but the best in the country. We at PFC want to showcase those cars which use our products while at the same time, build relationships with other teams in the series.”

Mr. Dilbeck would go on to explain how their new ZR34 calipers are attempting to revolutionize the racing industry.

“Our ZR34 caliper has been catching the eye of many of the top performing short track racers in the country,” said Dilbeck. “It’s monobloc design and radial mount technology provides a stiffer pedal, cooler temperatures, less drag, and lighter weight per corner. Our discs also provide the technology and proper amount of material to reduce heat, excessive wear, and run-out. PFC does not strive to compete with the best in the industry, we strive to far outperform anyone in the industry. Some of our clients with the full package include: Chase Elliott, David Ragan, Jeff Choquette, Kyle Grissom, Bubba Pollard, Brandon Oakley and many others.”

ARCA Midwest Tour Vice President Steve Einhaus is excited to have PFC on board.

“PFC has been with us since day one and they have been a very solid partner in helping the tour grow while providing our racers with exceptional product quality. We take pride in
the fact that long term partnerships are the best for both organizations and we couldn’t be more pleased that PFC wants to continue their relationship with the series for many years to come,” stated series Vice President, Steve Einhaus.

The ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards has crowned 30 ARCA national champions in 60 seasons since 1953, and has toured over 200 race tracks in 26 states since its inception. The series has tested the abilities of drivers and race teams over the most diverse schedule of stock car racing events in the world, visiting tracks ranging from 0.375 mile to 2.66 miles in length, on both paved and dirt surfaces as well as a left- and right-turn road course in its most recent season.

Founded by John and Mildred Marcum in 1953 in Toledo, Ohio, the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA) is recognized among the leading sanctioning bodies in the country. Closing in on completing its sixth decade after hundreds of thousands of miles of racing, ARCA administers over 100 race events each season in four professional touring series and local weekly events.
