ICAR All-Star Modified & House Division Info

Modifieds are the only class of cars competing on both Saturday and Sunday of Opening Weekend at Birch Run. This is a co-sanctioned event for the Modified division between, ICAR All-Star Modified Tour and Birch Run Speedway. Points will be scored for both sanctioning bodies.

On Saturday, Modifieds will compete in Qualifications, Heat Races and respective odd/even Qualifying Features. Qualifying results will determine the Heat Race lineups and the finishing results of the Heat Races will determine the starting lineup for the Qualifying Features. These two Qualifying Features are geared to be an entertaining 20 lap Saturday night shootout to decide the starting lineup for the big show on Sunday. Only the top 8 finishers in each Qualifying Feature will be locked into the 70 lap A-Main on Sunday. The remaining drivers must race the B-Main on Sunday, in an attempt to be one of 8 drivers to advance to the A-Main, making up the 24 car starting field.

In addition to staring positions, drivers will be racing for $500 to win ($100 to start) each qualifying feature. Additionally, Heat Races will pay $50 to win. The 70 lap A-Main winner, on Sunday, will receive $1,200 ($400 to start) and a provisional starting position for the US Short Track Nationals at Bristol Motor Speedway. The weekend combined purse for starters in the Modified division exceeds $18,000, the highest purse on the ICAR All-Star Modified Tour scheduled, second to Bristol.

The Birch Run Speedway House Division Pro Late Models and Pure Stocks will compete in their standard progressive race format. Qualifying results will determine the Heat Race starting lineups and the finishing results of those Heat Races will set the starting lineup for the Feature Race.
