BRISTOL, Tenn. (March 30, 2018) – In preparation for the Short Track U.S. Nationals presented by Vore’s Welding and Steel, competitors are encouraged to participate in the one-and-only Bristol Motor Speedway test session.
The official test on Saturday, May 12 will be the only opportunity for teams that are entered into the Short Track U.S. Nationals to test prior to the race. Space will be limited so interested teams are asked to register for the test as soon as possible. Registration pricing increasing from $100 to $125 after April 15.
Racers who sign-up before April 15 will have the chance to win a Short Track U.S. Nationals prize pack of: two Crew Test Day Passes ($50 Value), two 3-Day weekend passes for the event ($190 Value), and two Free Event T-Shirts. The first 75 entrants for the testing will be GUARENTEED an infield rig parking spot.
Gates will open at 8 a.m. on the day of testing and practice will run from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Testing fees are $100 per car and $25 per crew member. Significant amounts of track time should be available for all cars, however the specific amount of practice times per division will be determined once a total car count is established.

The race weekend will once again be May 18-20, and will showcase the world’s best short track racers competing once again on the high-banks of The World’s Fastest Half-Mile, one of the most famous short tracks in the world.
More than 500 race cars split among six classes are expected to be in competition during the three-day event, including racing in Super Late Model, Pro/Crate Late Model, Late Model Stock, Modified, Street Stock and Compact. The five sanctioning bodies that will be represented are CRA (Super Late Models, Pro Late Models, Street Stock), CARS Tour (Super Late Models, Late Model Stock), Southern Super Series (Super Late Model), I-CAR All-Star Modified Tour (Modifieds) and the VORES Compact Touring Series (Compacts).
Camping is now available to purchase for the Short Track U.S. Nationals. Campgrounds will be open from Thursday, May 17 through Monday, May 21. The campgrounds that will be open are the Driver RV lot (Electric Only $350), Medallion (Electric, Water & Sewer, $300), XFINITY Lot (Electric and Water, $300), and Non-Hookup sites (starting $100).
