NITRO TO APPEAR SATURDAY AT HOOSIER DADDY 100 AT WINCHESTER

Nitro will always make things faster at a racetrack.  But, this time, Nitro means more family fun during the Hoosier Daddy 100 presented by the Indy Fuel on Saturday, June 5 at Winchester Speedway (IN).

Special from Winchester Speedway – The mascot for the Indianapolis Fuel, a minor league hockey team for the Chicago Blackhawks, will make an appearance and take some pictures with fans in attendance at Saturday’s big event, which also features plenty of racing and fireworks.

Indy Fuel fans will receive $5 off their price of admission on Saturday at Winchester Speedway if they bring their ticket stub from the final home game of the season at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum at the Indiana State Fairgrounds (Wednesday, June 2).

“I’m a huge fan of the Indianapolis Fuel and of course Winchester Speedway.  That’s why it is so much fun to bring these two groups together,” said Bob Dillner, Promoter and General Manager of Winchester Speedway.  “I think their hockey team has such a cool name considering the heritage of racing in the state of Indiana and Winchester Speedway is a big part of that history as well.  We hope hockey fans enjoy seeing Nitro (mascot) in a different setting and get to see what our track’s slippery high banks are all about.”

The Hoosier Daddy 100 at Winchester Speedway on Saturday also features a spectacular fireworks show.  The world famous Scarrette Pyrotechnics company out of Richmond, IN will be putting on an electrifying show for all fans in attendance.

As far as the racing, that’s just icing on the cake.  The Champion Racing Association Street Stocks and Sportsman classes will compete in 100 lap and 51 lap races during the evening hours.

A special treat to all those in attendance is that the weekend will mark the return of the Winchester Old-Timers Reunion.  More than 50 vintage cars, from various eras of racing around America, will be making laps on Winchester’s famed high banks.  Fans will also have the opportunity to take pictures and sit in some of the machines that will come off the track and onto the midway afterwards.

Grandstands are open at Winchester Speedway at 3:30pm on Saturday.  Qualifying will be held at 5:30pm with racing starting at 7:00pm to be followed by a big fireworks show.
