New Track For ARCA/CRA Super Series Rookie Jordan Pruitt As Anderson Speedway Awaits

Six driver battle for freshman title continues in central Indiana

Gaylord, Michigan (Tuesday, April 21, 2015): After two impressive starts in the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS spanning between the end of the 2014 racing season and the beginning of the 2015 campaign, Jordan Pruitt felt he was ready for the 2015 season opener for the premier tour within Champion Racing Association. The 7-UP 100 Presented by Royal Truck & Trailer Sales proved to be a learning experience for the Rookie of the Year title contender, but to be fair, he didn’t have his ‘ace in the hole’ with him for the first points race of the new season.

Crew Chief, Scott Hantz, a three-time ARCA/CRA Super Series Champion, was busy competing in the companion ARCA Gold Cup Outlaw Super Late Model Series portion of the weekend at Toledo Speedway (OH) and wasn’t as available for Pruitt for this event. A 14th place finish was what Pruitt generated after qualifying an impressive ninth out of 26 cars on hand. “We really struggled at Toledo finding our grip on the track. I thought we had a good car after qualifying ninth. But the car was just terrible on long runs and we fell back to 14th,” Explained the Gaylord, Michigan driver.

“Looking at the positive side of things we did not wreck the car or have any major damage to be fixed. My crew did a great job all weekend and stayed positive trying to get faster.” Pruitt continued. “Plus my spotter, Lenny Lightner, did an awesome job getting me through the race with no issues.” He added.

The next race on the 2015 ARCA/CRA Super Series schedule is at a track Pruitt has never seen before: The fast 1/4 (0.250) mile high-banked paved oval of Anderson Speedway (IN) as the Madison County Community Health Center 125 will be the 27-year-old’s first time ever racing on the historic Central Indiana facility. “We will have our crew chief back Scott Hantz. He has three wins there and that will be a huge help to us. I am hoping for another good finish preferably inside the top five even though I’ve never been to there, so I will be busy trying to learn the track.” He ended.

For the rest of the 2015 racing season, both of Pruitt’s black #8’s, one an ARCA/CRA Super Series Super Late Model and the other an ICAR Top Speed Modified Tour ride, which he will race on Sunday, May 3rd at Springport Motor Speedway (MI), will sport sponsorship decals and support from Gaylord Machine & Fabrication as well as Electric Sun, W.L. Snow Enterprises, Top Speed Fabrication and M.P.H. Promotions.
