Truck Series Driver Returns to ARCA/CRA Super Series Event
NASHVILLE, TENN. (September 30, 2015) – NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver Mason Mingus will make a return to the Winchester 400, one of the top short-track events in the country, piloting his No. 98 late model in the ARCA CRA Super Series race on Oct. 11.
The 400-lap event at Winchester (Ind.) Speedway annually showcases some of the best short-track racers in the sport. Mingus’ fourth-place finish in the 2010 Winchester 400 as a relative unknown thrust him into the spotlight and earned him a full-time ride in the CRA Super Series the following year. Mingus raced three seasons in the series before climbing to the Camping World Truck Series, where he is in his second full-time season.
The 20-year-old driver will have support from 811, the underground damage prevention phone line that encourages homeowners and contractors to “Call Before You Dig.”
“The Winchester 400 will always be a special race to me,” Mingus said. “The race in 2010 was a huge stepping stone for me and allowed me to really prove myself against a bunch of other great racers. It’s going to be fun to go back and take 811 with us because they’ve been important to my career also.”
The race will be televised live on short-track racing website Speed51.com. Visit speed51.com for pay-per-view purchase information. For ticket information and additional event details, visit winchesterspeedway.com.
