Mills Back in RTR No. 5 at Columbus

Charlotte, North Carolina (Tuesday, May 19, 2015): It may seem like it has been a long time since Matt Mills last sat behind the wheel of the No. 5 Rick Turner Racing Ford Fusion but in reality, it’s only been three weeks. Mills has stayed busy, however, racing two different kinds of cars, with two different teams the last two weekends. This weekend he will climb back into the seat of the No. 5 ready to continue his chase for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Championship and Howie Lettow Rookie of the Year award.

This weekend the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented Chevrolet Performance will make its annual stop at Columbus Motor Speedway in Columbus, Ohio for the running of the Memorial 100 Presented by JEGS.com. Columbus Motor Speedway is a flat, tricky 1/3 (0.333) mile track. Mills will also race the No. 4 Lyndsay Bristol Racing NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Late Model multiple times at the track this summer.

“I am really excited to get to Columbus this weekend,” Mills said. “It’s a track where I’ve got some laps already this year testing with Lyndsay Bristol Racing. Rick Turner Racing is bringing me a new car; it’s going to be awesome. I think we will be very competitive. I’ll be missing my graduation ceremony this weekend, so picking up the win would be a cool graduation present.”

After the trip to Columbus Motor Speedway with the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour for the Memorial 100 Presented JEGS.com, Mills will head to the Mercy Masters of the Pros 144 at Lebanon I-44 Speedway in Lebanon, MO. on Saturday May 30, 2015. It will be Mills first time at the Missouri Speedway.
