Cedar Rapids, IA- The ‘Stars and Cars’ of the ARCA Midwest Tour will return to Hawkeye Downs for the first time in six seasons on Saturday night August 21 for a 100 lap feature event plus preliminary races. Race fans and teams will be greeted by multiple improvements around the half mile oval including recently installed state of the art Musco LED lights.
This will mark the Midwest Tour’s eighth visit to Hawkeye Downs. The past two victories have been collected by four time ARCA Midwest Tour Champion Ty Majeski. Former Tour Champs Jonathan Eilen and Steve Carlson have also been victorious during Tour competition at Hawkeye, with Carlson winning four times in a row.
The ARCA Midwest Tour begins their season on Sunday afternoon May 2 at Madison International Speedway with the $10,000 to win Joe Shear Classic. The ‘Stars and Cars’ will visit eleven tracks in five states in 2021. Hawkeye Downs begins their Friday night weekly racing program on May 7.
