Matt Wallace Enters SpeedFest 2015

NASCAR Whelen All American Series regular Matt Wallace will make his debut at Speedfest 2015 at Watermelon Capital Speedway in his family owned Pro Late Model. The young Wallace will be on a familiar track configuration to his 2012-2013 seasons at Missouri’s Lebanon I-44 Speedway where he began his late model career with 8 wins. In 2014 he posted a third place finish from his 17th starting position in the prestigious Mercy Master of the Pro’s 144 at the same track, and is looking for his first win in the JEGS/CRA All Stars Tour.

“The track is similar to what I have been running the last three years, so with Clay Rogers on the Box, we feel like we can be competitive and get a good finish there. I’ve been racing with several of the competitors there at places like Gresham, South Boston and Nashville Fairgrounds” said Wallace. He added, “We are planning on making other tour races this year, as well as run near home when we can”

Clay Rogers will be the crew chief, and knows how to get around the fast 3/8 mile D shaped track. And he has a lot of experience in short track late models with his four USAR championships, one win at the Snowball Derby along with his ARCA and NASCAR races.

The HAMKE chassis, McGunegill powered Chevy SS will carry sponsorship from LUCAS OIL, Dan Althoff Trucking and Russo’s Tinting. Mike Wallace Racing would like to thank those fine sponsors for their support of the 2015 racing program.
