Salem, IN. (September 22, 2016) – The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance will return to action this weekend as part of the Wish For Our Heroes CRA Fall Brawl 2016 at the famed Lucas Oil Raceway, located just outside of Indianapolis in Brownsburg, Indiana. The CRA Fall Brawl has become a very popular stock car racing event in central Indiana with each feature winner getting an event signature trophy that includes a pair of boxing gloves. The four CRA divisions racing in the event include the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS, the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance, the Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman Powered by JEGS and the CRA Street Stocks Powered by JEGS.
A stacked field of 30 entries is entered to compete in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Stacked Pickle 100 Presented by JEGS.com on Sunday afternoon. That event will be the eighth point’s event of the 2016 season for the series and the second to last event, the series will finish its 2016 season on October 7th as part of the 45th Annual Winchester 400 Weekend at Winchester Speedway.
Series point’s leader Cody Coughlin, the series 2013 Champion, tops the list of CRA regulars entered for Sunday’s event. Coughlin has two series wins so far this season including Salem Speedway on June 18th and Anderson Speedway on July 23rd. Coughlin is also the points leader in the ARCA/CRA Super Series were he has a series leading four wins so far this season. Coughlin is also competing in selected NASCAR Camping World Truck Series events during the 2016 season for Kyle Busch Motorsports.
Other top CRA drivers entered are second in points Brandon Oakley, winner of his first series event at Winchester Speedway on Labor Day Weekend, third in points Austin Kunert, Jack Smith, the defending winner of this event, Phil Bozell, Dakota Stroup, D.J. Weltmeyer, Tristan Van Wieringen, second in this event last year, Jerry Andrews, Scott Tomasik, former CRA Late Model Sportsman LOR winner Trey Craig, Chris Koslek, Cassten Everidge, along with a great group of VanDoorn Racing Development Rookie of the Year drivers lead by rookie point’s leader Jack Dossey III, 13 year old Michael Clancy Jr., Joshua James and Jared Thomas.
Several Berlin Raceway regulars are entered for Saturday’s event including 2016 Berlin Raceway Super Late Model Champion and former series winner Terry Van Haitsma, also Nate Walton, who finished third at the series Berlin event in June, Ben Welch and 13 year old Carson Hocevar, who set the series track record at the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour event at Berlin and has three top five finishes in his three series starts so far this season, including a second place finish in the series last event at Owosso Speedway.
Former Illiana Motor Speedway Champion Jeff Cannon is entered. 2004 ARCA/CRA Super Series Champion Chuck Barnes Jr. is entered to make his 2016 series debut behind the wheel of Owosso Speedway winning car owner Jeff Miller’s car. Former Columbus Motor Speedway Champion Chad Pendleton is entered to make his second series start of the 2016 season. Lebanon I-44 Speedway competitor Brennon Willard is entered for Sunday’s race. Former series full-time competitor Brent Downey is entered to make his 2016 series debut.
Fort Wayne native Austin Coe is entered to make his 2016 series debut. The teenager has two CRA Street Stock wins at Lucas Oil Raceway so far this season and got a fourth place finish at Lucas Oil Raceway in a CRA Late Model Sportsman. North Carolina native Jake Spillers is making the long haul to compete in this event again on Sunday. James Krueger and Dave Polak Jr. are entered to make their series debuts on Sunday.
The Wish For Our Heroes CRA Fall Brawl 2016 gets started on Saturday, with the pit gates opening at 9:00am. Practice starts at 12:30pm for all four CRA divisions, each division will get two rounds of practice. Qualifying for all four CRA Divisions begins at 4:30pm on Saturday to set their Sunday feature line-ups.
On Sunday pit gates open at 9:00am., with the CRA Drivers Meetings starting at 11:00am. There is an Autograph Session with all the drivers competing in Sunday’s events for the fans at 12noon. Racing will begin at 1pm and will include the Riley Hospital for Children 40 for the Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman, the Stacked Pickle 100 for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour, the BJ’s Restaurant Brewhouse 40 for the CRA Street Stocks and the Wish For Our Heroes 100 for the ARCA/CRA Super Series to finish off the day.
