A blended mixture of races throughout the country in Rouse’s plans for 2015
Rolla, Missouri (Thursday, April 30, 2015): As the 2015 racing season begins to go wide open with most all touring series and weekly race tracks opening up, 17-year-old Cole Rouse is excited to say the least. Teamed up with Kevin Crider Motorsports, Rouse will be embarking on a full schedule of events throughout the United States. While not chasing points anywhere in particular, the Fort Smith, Arkansas teenager will be putting a lot of miles on the highways and byways throughout the country.
The Cabin Fever 100 Presented by JEGS.com is on Sunday, May 3rd at the fast 3/8s (0.375) mile semi-banked paved oval of Springport Motor Speedway, located north of Jackson and south of Lansing in Springport, Michigan. The 2015 JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance season opener is one race that Rouse has been looking forward too. In two appearances at the southern Michigan speed plant in 2014 he didn’t finish where he would’ve liked to, but he loves the layout of the speedway and is looking forward to returning, especially with Crider calling the shots.
“I’m excited to get back in the car for Springport. Every time we work with Kevin Crider Motorsports we get better and better at communicating and we showed it at Lebanon I-44 Speedway this past weekend.” Offered the Natural State teenager. “We were top of the speed charts all day, but got rained out for the race. We hope to carry that momentum into Springport. I have to thank everyone at KCM for their hard work into making the cars fast every week. Plus my Dad (Mark Rouse) for supporting everything I do.” He added.
In his last race, his Super Late Model debut in the 39th running of the Rattler 250, the 2015 Southern Super Series season opener on March 15th, Rouse finished 15th at South Alabama Speedway in Opp, Alabama. During the 2015 season, Rouse will make appearances in the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS and the Southern Super Series in Super Late Models. He’ll also run select events within the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance as well as other high profile events for Pro Late Models throughout the country.
During the 2014 racing season, Rouse competed in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour where he finished third in the final Howie Lettow Memorial Rookie of the Year title chase. He also scored an impressive eighth overall in the final points standings with three top 10 finishes including an eighth place effort at the legendary high-banks of Winchester Speedway (IN) over the Labor Day Holiday Weekend on August 31st. In 14 races, he finished at least in the top 15 on nine occasions.
