VanDoorn Racing Development Lap Leader Standings

Salem, IN (Thursday, August 20, 2015): 2011 JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Champion Erik Jones is currently leading the VanDoorn Racing Development Season Lap Leader standings after nine ARCA/CRA Super Series events so far this season. The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series full-time and part time NASCAR Xfinity Series competitor has led a total of 182 laps in the two series races he has competed in so far this season. Jones led 48 laps is claiming the win in the June 16th Battle at Berlin 251 at Berlin Raceway, the first event in the JEGS/CRA $100,000 Super Late Model Triple Crown. Jones led 134 laps in claiming the win in the July 18th Stoops Freightliner Redbud 300 at Anderson Speedway, the second event of the Triple Crown. With those two victories, Jones now has a chance to claim the $100,000 cash bonus for winning all three events in the Triple Crown if he can win the October 11th Winchester 400 at Winchester Speedway.

 

Senneker Performance Rookie of the Year competitor Hunter Baize is currently second in the VanDoorn Racing Development Season Lap Leader standings with 174 laps led so far this season. Baize led all 50 laps in the series event at Illiana Motor Speedway event on May 25th, and 124 laps in last Saturday’s 7-UP 125 at Flat Rock Speedway.

 

Fellow NASCAR competitor John Hunter Nemechek is in third place with 162 laps led, including leading 46 laps in getting the win at Lucas Oil raceway on July 24th and leading 116 laps of the series August 12th event at Kalamazoo Speedway.

 

Brian Campbell is currently in fourth place with 150 laps led so far this season. He led 75 laps in getting the win in the series season opening 7-UP 100 at Toledo Speedway on April 11th and led three different times for 75 laps in claiming the series win at Berlin Raceway on May 16th. 2014 NASCAR Xfinity Series Champion Chase Elliott is in fifth place with 138 laps led, all those came in the Battle at Berlin 251event.

 

VanDoorn Racing Development will award a $500 Product Certificate to the driver leading the most laps during the 2015 season at the 2015 Champion Racing Association Awards Banquet. VanDoorn Racing Development also awards a $75 Product Certificate at each series event for the VanDoorn Racing Development Lap Leader Award.
