JEGS Tour Masters of the Pros to Pay $25,000 in 2025

Nashville, TN – Officials with Champion Racing Association and Owosso Speedway have announced that the 13th Annual Masters of the Pros for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance will pay $25,000 to win in 2025. The event, which returns to Owosso Speedway for the third consecutive year, will now be a 200-lap affair still boasting a $1,200 prize just to make the starting field.

The 13th Annual Masters of the Pros is scheduled for Wednesday, July 16th, 2025 and is again billed as the richest Pro Late Model event in the country. In addition to the $1,200 to start, JEGS Tour regulars will also be eligible for cash bonuses through the Winner Circle Program, plus award bonuses. Again in 2025, Owosso is offering the Owosso Overtime Bonus – drivers who race in the $10,000 to win Big O Classic on Saturday, May 25th, and the Masters of the Pros will earn a bonus increasing the start money for drivers who race in both.

“The increased prize money carries on the Masters tradition of being the highest-paying Pro Late Model race in the country,” said Champion Racing Association Series Director, Scott Menlen. “Working with Mr. Wheeler and his staff to move this race to a Wednesday allows Pro Late Model teams from across the country the opportunity to participate in this event without hindering other series or track events.”

The history of the Masters of the Pros is storied, with some of racing’s biggest names finding victory lane. NASCAR Cup Series Champion, Chase Elliott won the inaugural JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Masters of the Pros at I-44 in 2013. Anderson Bowen won in 2014 before NASCAR regular, John Hunter Nemechek scored back-to-back wins in 2015 and ’16. Cole Williams claimed the green jacket at the final Masters at I-44 in 2017. Senoia, Georgia’s Bubba Pollard won the Masters of the Pros at Birch Run Speedway in 2018 and again in 2019 at Memphis International. Matt Craig earned a guitar and a green jacket in the Music City in 2020. Willie Allen laid claim to the two most recent Nashville Masters victories before Chase Burda’s triumph in 2023.

Last season, the Masters of the Pros saw one of the most dramatic finishes in the event’s history and of the 2024 JEGS Tour season. With two laps to go, defending Champion of the Series and of the race, Chase Burda was fighting with eventual JEGS Tour Champion, Blake Rowe for the top spot. Rowe, who had raced his way back to the front of the field after a Choose Cone Violation, was playing defense in his No.71 with Burda seemingly having the better car. With two laps to go, the pair made contact into turn one sending Rowe out of the groove. In turns three and four, the pair came together again, resulting in Burda spinning and Rowe being sent to the tail with the No.18 for his involvement in the caution. Dawson Sutton went on to win the race, his first with the JEGS Tour and third for Rackley Racing.
