JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour to Open Season at Berlin Raceway on April 27th

CRA’s Pro Late Model Tour Returns to Berlin for first time since 2019 for $5,000 to win event

Nashville, TN – Officials with Champion Racing Association and Berlin Raceway are pleased to announce the official start of the 2024 campaign for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance will be at Berlin Raceway in 2024. The blockbuster move sets up the first standalone CRA sanctioned Pro Late Model race since the 2019 Berlin 100. Following the track’s traditional Icebreaker one week prior, the 100 lap JEGS Tour event will be on Saturday, April 27 offering up a $5,000 payday to the winner.

Berlin Raceway has a tenured history with CRA and more specifically the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour. In 2011, the inaugural season for the CRA sanctioned Pro Late Models, Berlin was one of the ten flagship tracks to schedule a JEGS Tour event. For nine seasons, the Tour returned to Marne, Michigan for intense racing during the traditional 100 lap contest. Terry VanHaitsma was the first to win a JEGS race at Berlin in September of 2011, taking the lead from Seth Moody on lap 37, who had overthrown Erik Jones on lap four of the race.

In the series’ return in 2012, it was Mike Bursley who overtook Daniel Hemrick with six laps to go before finding victory lane.

Within the last decade, other familiar faces have grabbed CRA wins at Berlin. Travis Braden, Bubba Pollard (2), and Brian Campbell (3) grabbed the final JEGS/CRA Tour solo sanctioned wins through 2018.

In 2019, JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour was combined with the ASA/CRA Super Series for the Battle at Berlin 251.

In 2020, there wasn’t a contest held at Berlin Raceway and since then, Berlin and the JEGS Tour have been off of each other’s schedules, until now.

The next chapter of CRA history at the famed Grand Rapids, Michigan area race track begins with a special $5,000 to win season opener Saturday, April 27. The opener for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour comes just one week after the traditional Icebreaker, Berlin Raceway season opener. The Raceway’s Super Late Model division will have the night off, giving the CRA Pro Late Model Tour and its drivers the spotlight.
