JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Returns to Toledo Speedway in July 2024

First Time at Toledo Since Tour’s Inaugural Event

Nashville, TN – Officials with the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance and Toledo Speedway have announced the Tour’s return to the famed ½-mile oval in Toledo, Ohio. On Friday, July 26 the Tour heads back to Toledo Speedway for the first time since 2011. Home of the ASA STARS National Tour Glass City 200, the USAC Silvercrown Rollie Beale Classic, and the ARCA Menards Series National Tour Championship event, the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour adds to the list of blockbuster events scheduled at the Buckeye battleground.

In 2011, the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour was born, bringing Midwest Pro Late Model teams a place to race. Toledo Speedway became the site of the inaugural event on April 25, 2011, pulling in 39 entries. The first corner of JEGS Tour history didn’t go quite as planned, when then-teenagers Karl Weber and Cody Coughlin tangled in the first turn collecting many contenders including former NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series competitor, Jack Smith and soon to be two-time JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Champion, Dan Leeck.

Now NASCAR star, Erik Jones accompanied winningest JEGS Tour driver, Brian Campbell to the green flag ahead of the 32 car field. Jones led the first 14 rotations before Campbell began dominating the event. A total of seven cautions littered the first JEGS Tour race, including one that set up a three lap dash to the checkers. Campbell held off Eddie Hoffman and Jones to collect the win.

13-years later, a new crop of household template Late Model names are set to face off at Toledo Speedway in 2024. Campbell is still on that list, with a total of 11 JEGS Tour wins to his credit. Also expected to unload are former Glass City 200 winner Blake Rowe and Glass City contender, Kyle Crump. Defending Champion, Chase Burda podiumed at Toledo with the ASA STARS National Tour in September of 2023, making him a likely opponent in July of 2024. Fans should also look for Brandon and Evan Varney, David Liaeff, Michael Simko, Jimmy Tucker and others.

Next for Champion Racing Association is the honoring of our 2023 award winners at the CRA Awards Ceremony on Friday, January 5th, 2024 in Plymouth, Indiana. Invitations have been sent out, however, RSVP slips can be found online at www.CRA-Racing.com.

The 2024 season unofficially kicks off for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour on Saturday, January 20th at Crisp Motorsports Park in Cordele, GA for the Speedfest 2024. A 100 lap Pro Late Model event, sanctioned by the JEGS Tour, preludes the 150 lap ASA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS and ASA Southern Super Series Presented by Sunoco main event.

A detailed 2024 schedule is set to be released in the coming weeks. For more information on the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance, log onto www.CRA-Racing.com. Find CRA: Champion Racing Association on Facebook and follow @CRARacing on Twitter.
