Salem, IN (June 30, 2020) – The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance will return to action this Saturday in the Thomas Automotive American Freedom 100 Presented by JEGS.com at the Jennerstown Speedway Complex located in Jennerstown, Pennsylvania. This will be the series first ever visit to Jennerstown Speedway complex and the first ever series event in the state of Pennsylvania. Saturday s race will be part of the Thomas Automotive American Freedom 300 that will also feature a 200 lap, $20,000 to win, Super Late model event co-sanctioned by the Solid Rock Carriers CARS Tour and the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS.
Saturday’s event will only be the series third event of the season after the COVID-19 pandemic caused several series events to be postponed or cancelled. Georgia ace Bubba Pollard picked up the win in the series season opener at Lebanon I-44 Speedway on May 30th. 2018 ARCA/CRA Super Series Champion Josh Brock picked up his first ever series win in the series last event on June 20th at Anderson Speedway.
Two-time ARCA/CRA Super Series Champion Travis Braden currently leads the series points after two events. Two time series Champion Cody Coughlin is in second, only one point behind Braden. Carson Hocevar is in third place, he is 25 points behind Coughlin. Mandy Chick is in fourth place, she is 10 points behind Hocevar. Senneker Performance Rookie of the Year points leader Zachary Tinkle and Brandon Oakley are tied for fifth place, they are four points behind Chick.
Coughlin, Chick and Tinkle are all entered for Saturday’s event. Anderson winner Brock is also entered. Other top series entries include fellow Senneker Performance Rookie of the Year competitors Charlie Keeven and Chase Burda, former series event winner Wes Griffith Jr., also Trever McCoy, Jimmy Tucker, Chad Pendleton and Will Sahutske.
Florida’s Stephen Nasse, one of the top Super Late Model drivers currently in the country, is entered for the potent Jett Motorsports Team, as he seeks his second series win of the season after winning the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour SpeedFest 2020 event in January.
Matt Craig is entered to make his series debut on Saturday. Craig has become one of the top Super Late Model drivers out of the North Carolina area.
Former two-time ARCA/CRA Super Series Champion Brian Ross is entered in the car usually piloted by Jordon Miller to make his 2020 series debut. Ross last ran with the series in 2013 and is the crew chief for Cretacci.
Albert Francis is entered to make his series debut, he has raced at Jennerstown in their three Late Model events to date this season with two fourth place finishes and a victory in their last event on June 20th. He is currently in first place in the Jennerstown Late Model points.
Pennsylvania drivers Mike Sweeney and Bryan Shipp are entered to make their series debuts on Saturday. New York driver Sam Fullone is also entered to make his series debut on Saturday.
There is an open practice on Friday, pits open at 1:30pm, open practice will go from 2:30 to 6:30pm. Pits open on Saturday at 11am. Practice will begin at 1:30pm. Jerico Performance Products Qualifying for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour will begin at 6:00pm. Racing action will begin at 7:30pm and will include the Thomas Automotive American Freedom 100 Presented by JEGS.com for JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour followed by the Thomas Automotive American Freedom 200 for the Solid Rock Carriers CARS Tour and ARCA/CRA Super Series. There will be a huge Fireworks show to top off the night after the racing action is over.
Tickets for the inaugural Thomas Automotive American Freedom 300 are $20 in advance and $25 the day of the event. Kids twelve and under are free with a paid adult. Tickets can be purchased in advance online at www.carsracingtour.com.
