Salem, IN (October 30, 2017) – 2017 JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance Champion Jack Dossey III admits he and his team are not always the best qualifiers in the world, but when it comes to racing he’s right there as one of the best, as he showed throughout the 2017 season. Dossey III did pick up two Fury Race Cars Fast Qualifier Awards during the 2017 season, one at Salem Speedway in June, the second on Labor Day Weekend at Winchester Speedway, but for many of the other races during the season, Dossey III had to race his way to the front.
Racing to the front was not a problem for Dossey III, starting with the season opening race at Bristol Motor Speedway, were Dossey III raced his way from his 30th starting position, to finish in sixth place gaining 24 positions, coming up short to Jon Beach’s 32 gained positions for the Racing Electronics Hardcharger Award for that event. From there Dossey III would pick up Racing Electronics Hardcharger Awards at three series events during the 2017 season. Dossey III gained 15 positions at the series Kil-Kare Speedway event, 11 positions in the Auto City Speedway event and 10 positions in the Birch Run Speedway event. In all Dossey III gained a series leading 64 positions during the 2017 season, earning the Racing Electronics Season Hardcharger Award. For his efforts Dossey III will receive a $200 Product Certificate from Racing Electronics.
There were several other series drivers who also gained several positions during the 2017 season. Trever McCoy was second highest with 48 gained positions. Rookie Thomas Hufferd was third with 36 gained positions. Mandy Chick was fourth with 32 gained positions, including claiming the Racing Electronics Hardcharger Award at the series Winchester event on Labor Day Weekend. Thomas Woodin and Kyle Crump were tied for fifth with 26 gained positions, with Crump picking up the Racing Electronics Hardcharger Award in his first series victory at Owosso Speedway.
