Former CRA Winner Grant Enfinger Honored as 2015 ARCA Racing Series Champion
Indianapolis, Indiana (Sunday, December 13, 2015): Grant Quinlan left his mark on the 2015 ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS and, on Saturday, December 12, Quinlan was feted for that mark.
Quinlan, 17, took part in the annual ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards annual post-season banquet in downtown Indianapolis. It was the fourth consecutive year that ARCA has held its post-season banquet in Indy.
In opening the show’s festivities, Mark Gundrum, ARCA’s Vice President Business Development and Corporate Partnerships, presented jackets and honors to ARCA’s three touring series champs, including Quinlan.
“Another youngster has made his mark,” Gundrum said. “The mark he has left may be lasting.“At 17, he became the third ARCA/CRA Super Series driver to win the tour’s rookie of the year and championship in the season – and the youngest to accomplish that feat. One win, six top five finishes and two fast qualifier awards highlighted his season, a season for the ARCA/CRA record books.”
Quinlan came to the podium, thanking his team and family for their hard work and support.
“It’s truly an honor to be able to write my name in the record books. It’s a truly special series,” he said. “That said, it doesn’t happen overnight, to become a champion. A lot of work goes into it, on and off the track, with officials and everybody who puts on these events and works on these race cars.”
ARCA also honored the champion from the ARCA Truck Series Jeff Myers Jr., the ARCA Midwest Tour Ty Majeski and the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards Grant Enfinger. a former winner with the ARCA/CRA Super Series. As part of the night, numerous special awards, surprise awards and contingency awards were also handed out, signaling the close of the 2015 ARCA Racing Series season.
