Four Big Race Winners Invited to Speed51 Super Select

Special from Speed51.com – Four big race winners from the 2018 season have officially been invited to the 2019 Speed51 Super Select at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis.  The inaugural winner-take-all Super Late Model All-Star Race will be held September 7, 2019 and feature many of the nation’s top short track racers.

Once again, the event will be hosted by Track Enterprises and sanctioned by the Champion Racing Association (CRA).  The first attempt to complete the inaugural Speed51 Super Select was washed out by Tropical Storm Gordon in September 2018, creating even more hype for the event in 2019.

“The anticipation is killing us after raining out our first try last September,” said Track Enterprises Operation Manager, Adam Mackey.  “With a strong list of drivers expected, I’m sure it will be worth the wait.”

The first list of invitees for the 2019 Speed51 Super Select includes winners of four of the biggest Super Late Model races held in 2018.  Should they accept their invitations for the race, the drivers listed below will join the “Select Team” for the event.

First Round of 2019 Speed51 Super Select Invitees:

Bubba Pollard – Oxford 250 Winner

Jeff Choquette – Winchester 400 Winner

Noah Gragson – Snowball Derby Winner

Stephen Nasse – Mobile 300 Winner

Each invitee from the Select Team that accepts their invitation prior to July 1, 2019 will receive a guaranteed starting spot in the race on Saturday, September 7 during Brickyard 400 weekend.  Those who accept the invitation will also receive free entry into the race and one set of free tires to use during the race.

The second round of invitations for the race will be sent out on Thursday, December 27.  Additional invitations will be sent out throughout the 2019 season to Late Model winners.

The winner of the Speed51 Super Select will have a chance to win at least $10,000.  Additional bonuses and contingency awards will be announced prior to the race.

A pair of features will be contested on September 7, one for the Super Late Models and a 100-lap race for the USAC Silver Crown Series.  There will also be a 50-lap Super Late Model race that will be open to all drivers to compete in.  That race will transfer more drivers into the Super Select field.

More information regarding the 2019 Speed51 Super Select will be announced soon.  Stay tuned to Speed51.com for more details about the event.
