Salem, IN (September 16, 2019) – Terry Fisher Jr. led from green to checkers in getting the Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman Powered by JEGS Fall Brawl event win Sunday afternoon at Lucas Oil Raceway. The win was Fisher Jr.’s 12th all-time series win with the series, he is second in series all-time victories to Jason Atkinson.
“Man, it’s always great to win here at LOR and in the Fall Brawl, “remarked Fisher Jr. in victory lane. “The car was pretty decent all weekend, but once we got out front today it was really good. The late caution worried me with Billy (Hutson) starting beside me, but I was able to get a good jump on the last restart and get the win. I have to thank my crew, they all worked hard on this car all weekend! Nothing like winning another pair of Fall Brawl boxing gloves!”
Fisher Jr. grabbed the early lead from his outside pole starting position after Allstar Performance Fast Qualifier Jonathan Shafer drew a five for the events inverted start. Fisher Jr. had built a sizeable lead before the events first caution flew on lap 25 when Shafer’s car went up in smoke ending his day.
Fisher Jr. grabbed the lead on the lap 26 restart with his fellow Ft. Wayne natives, Hutson, Cory Setser and Austin Coe battling for top five positions along with Zachary Tinkle. Fisher Jr. looked to be on his way to the win when the second caution flew on the white flag lap after Tinkle spun in the backstretch making hard contact with the inside wall. Tinkle was okay, but his car was damaged too much to continue.
The field took the green for the lap 38 restart, but the third caution flew when J.P. Crabtree spun coming to the green and collected the cars of Jeremy Wallen and Steve Pearson.
Hutson hung tight with Fisher Jr. at the drop of the final green flag, but Fisher Jr. was able to pull away to grab the win. It was Fisher’s fourth series win in the Fall Brawl event, he won three straight from 2015 through 2017. Fisher Jr. picked up the AR Bodies Cool Move of the Race Award for holding off Hutson to get the win.

Coe came from his eighth place starting position to finish in third place and picked up the KRJ Race Products Sweet Move of the Race Award. Setser would finish in fourth with TJ Flynn in fifth place.
