Double-Duty Is The Plan For 19-Year-Old Quinnton Bear At Labor Day Holiday Weekend World Stock Car Festival

JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour on Sunday, ARCA/CRA Super Series on Monday for Hoosier State teenager

Avon, Indiana (Wednesday, September 2, 2015): A golden opportunity awaits 19-year-old Quinnton Bear at his favorite race track. The legendary 1/2 (0.500) mile high-banked paved oval of Winchester Speedway (IN), located east of Muncie and west of the Indiana / Ohio state line in Winchester, Indiana will host the Labor Day Holiday Weekend World Stock Car Festival on Sunday-Monday, September 6-7th. For Bear, he’ll be doing double-duty starting on Sunday the 6th in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance in the Winchester 100 Presented by JEGS.com.

Then on Labor Day Monday, September 7th, the Avon, Indiana driver will get back behind the wheel of two-time reigning ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS Champion, Travis Braden’s familiar West Virginia University / Chevrolet. The car, which will again be renumbered #94 while still carrying the blue and yellow WVU colors, will have the support of the Travis Braden Motorsports team and Crew Chief, Gary St. Amant. This will be Bear’s second start for Braden and third overall in the ARCA/CRA Super Series.

“I would like to thank everyone that made this opportunity possible. Very grateful for the opportunity at hand. What I’m most looking forward to is going to a track that I’ve done fairly well at and know pretty well.” Offered the Hoosier State teenager. “Winchester has shown success for the #94 and the Travis Braden Motorsports Super Late Model has always run well there as well. Driving the Travis Braden Motorsports for the second time this season is something I’m definitely looking forward to and now it’s time to just go after the best finish that we can get. We are way overdue for a win. We have an awesome team with both cars and it’s time to show what we can do in both races” He added.

In two ARCA/CRA Super Series starts, one in the Braden ride and one in his own JEGS/CRA car, Bear garnered a ninth place finish in the Circle City 100 Presented by Greg Hubler Chevrolet at Lucas Oil Raceway (IN) on July 24th. He then went and scored an impressive second place finish at Kalamazoo Klash XXIII in the Boyne Machine Company 125 at Kalamazoo Speedway (MI) on August 12th. After Winchester, Bear has at least one more start planned in order to keep his 2016 Rookie eligibility intact for the full schedule next season.

Prior to his ARCA/CRA start, his quest for the 2015 JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Overall and Howie Lettow Memorial Rookie of the Year title is the primary objective for the holiday weekend in Eastern Indiana. The Winchester 100 Presented by JEGS.com will highlight the Sunday portion of the World Stock Car Festival Weekend. “Our goal is still the championship in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour. We will do everything we can and get the best finish we can at the remaining four races on the schedule. Winchester being up next gives us little bit more confidence going in.” He ended.

So far in 2015 in JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour competition, he is the top freshman in the chase for the coveted Howie Lettow Memorial Rookie of the Year title by a wide margin while sitting an impressive third overall in points. He has four top five finishes with a season high finish of a second at Dixie Motor Speedway (MI) on July 10th in the Dixie 100 Presented by JEGS.com. His top five’s also account for his four top 10s as Bear is the only driver left to have competed in every JEGS/CRA race this season including the non-points SpeedFest 2015 in January at Watermelon Capital Speedway (GA).

For the rest of the 2015 racing season in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour, Bear’s familiar #94 Buzze Racing / Quinnton Bear Racing / Chevrolet will have additional sponsorship decals and support from Bear’s Lawn Service as well as Bassett Racing Wheels, Sparco, PGG Enterprises, McGunegill Engine Performance and M.P.H.
