Salem, IN (March 14, 2018) – Champion Racing Association Powered by JEGS officials and DGR-CROSLEY representatives have announced that DGR-CROSLEY has agreed to become a marketing partner with CRA for the upcoming 2018 race season. DGR-CROSLEY will be the Official Driver Development Team of CRA and will support the Rookie of the Year programs in all four CRA series.
DGR-CROSLEY is a new race team organization that was formed when David Gilliland Racing and CROSLEY Sports Group came together to form one team in January. From this location, DGR-CROSLEY will be fielding late models, NASCAR K&N Pro Series cars, ARCA Racing Series cars and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series trucks, becoming one of the leading Driver Development Teams in the country with the ability to give drivers opportunities to compete in top equipment in any of the for mentioned series.
“We are very excited as an organization to be a marketing partner with CRA for the 2018 season,” remarked David Gilliland, Co-Owner of DGR-CROSLEY. “I started racing late models when I first got into racing and always enjoyed them, as a team we have also fielded late models and raced with CRA several times over the past two years. CRA is a great organization and does a great job with all its series. We value being involved and supporting the rookies in all four CRA series, it’s just a natural fit for what we are trying to accomplish with our company.”
DGR-CROSLEY will be the primary sponsor of the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance Rookie Award Program for the 2018 season. DGR-CROSLEY will sponsor the DGR-CROSLEY Rookie of the Race Award, which will award a $150 cash bonus to the highest finishing registered rookie at each series event. DGR-CROSLEY will also sponsor the DGR-CROSLEY Rookie of the Year Award with the series, which will be awarded to the registered rookie who finishes highest in the DGR-CROSLEY Rookie of the Year points and will receive a $1000 cash bonus from DGR-CROSLEY as well as a CROSLEY Radio Jukebox Trophy at the 2018 CRA Awards Banquet. This program is based upon season points for all scheduled events, the drivers do get to drop their worse two finishes of the season.
DGR-CROSLEY will also support the Rookie Programs for the other three CRA series in 2018. DGR-CROSLEY will award the 2018 Senneker Performance Rookie of the Year with the ARCA/CRA Super Series with a $500 cash bonus and a CROSLEY Radio Jukebox Trophy. We continue to see drivers start their development in CRA and look to move up to the next level of racing and DGR-CROSLEY provides a well-designed driver development program to groom drivers in championship caliber equipment as they work their way up through the ranks.”
