Huntersville, N.C. (September 2, 2015) – Race fans remember winners, especially Winchester Speedway (Ind.) winners. Corey Deuser went to victory lane in one of the most thrilling finishes in Winchester Speedway (Ind.) history. The Hoosier State teenager passed Dominique Van Wieringen on the final lap of the Winchester 100 on October 11, 2013, as part of Winchester 400 weekend to score his first career JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour victory. It propelled him to the Howie Lettow Rookie of the Year Award and second in series points that season. He returns to Winchester Speedway (Ind.) looking to prove that performance wasn’t a fluke.
Deuser once again will climb behind the wheel of the No. 12 Deuser Electric / Mr. Asphalt Chevrolet SS for reigning JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance Championship-winning team, Dan Leeck Racing. The team already went to victory lane once this season at Dixie Motor Speedway (Mich.). Deuser looks to add to the teams 2015 success at one of his favorite racetracks. He led 43 laps in last year’s running of the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour event at Winchester Speedway (Ind.) during the Labor Day Holiday Weekend World Stock Car Festival before getting taken out by a fellow competitor.
Winchester Speedway located in Winchester, Ind., is a very fast, high banked (0.500) 1/2-mile speedway that demands respect. Best known as the host of the Winchester 400 every October, Winchester Speedway (Ind.) remains one of the top venues in all of racing. If a driver can win at Winchester Speedway (Ind.), he can win anywhere. Deuser enters this weekend’s JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour event knowing that this is his best shot at victory in quite some time.
“Going back to a place where you have won at before is always a big confidence booster,” Deuser said. “After what has been a tough season, racing on a track I’m comfortable at, will be just what the doctor ordered. Dan (Leeck) and the entire Dan Leeck Racing team have always shown speed here. I’m excited to climb behind the wheel and get to work this weekend.”
“I feel like we’ve assembled a great team around Corey (Deuser) for this weekend’s JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour event,” car owner, Dan Leeck said. “Neil May will return to the pit box, Branden Lines will return to the spotter stand, and Derrick Layne will do tires for us (Dan Leeck Racing) once again. These guys helped us capture the 2014 championship. We are all looking forward to having Corey (Deuser) in our No. 12 Deuser Electric / Mr. Ashpalt Chevrolet SS this weekend.”
Deuser will continue to drive the No. 12 Dan Leeck Racing Late Model for the remainder of the 2015 season. He is sponsored by Mr. Asphalt and Deuser Electric. For more information regarding Corey Deuser, please visit his website, “like” him on Facebook, and “follow” him on Twitter.
