Huntersville, N.C. (September 8, 2015) – What started out as a promising weekend for Corey Deuser, ended in disappointment. The 17-year-old driver was fast in practice, fast in qualifying, and fast in the race. An incident just past quarter distance ended his race early. Despite the disappointment, Deuser remains optimistic for the future. This coming Sunday at Columbus Motor Speedway (Ohio) he will return to the ARCA/CRA Super Series in the Bud St. Amant Memorial 125 Presented by Oakley Blacktop.
Deuser once again piloted the No. 12 Mr. Asphalt / Deuser Electric Pro Late Model for reigning JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Championship-winning team Dan Leeck Racing. They scored a top-10 finish at Anderson Speedway (Ind.) together earlier this season and were looking for a repeat performance. Early in the 100-lap event, it looked as if they would repeat that performance. However, an incident ended Deuser’s night after starting fifth.
“Not the way we wanted our race to go,” Deuser said. “We have a fast race car, but things just didn’t work out. It been a tough several months now, but I’m excited about the future. I know things will turn around soon. We just have to keep working hard!”
The Hoosier State teenager will make his return to the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS on Sunday, September 13, 2015 as the series returns to the tricky (0.333) 1/3-mile Columbus Motor Speedway (Ohio). The Bud St. Amant Memorial 125 Presented by Oakley Blacktop is race No. 12 for the ARCA/CRA Super Series. Deuser scored a career-best ARCA/CRA Super Series finish of 11th in the second race of the season back in April at the (0.250) 1/4-mile Anderson Speedway.
