Salem, IN (March 15, 2016) – Champion Racing Association Powered by JEGS officials have released the entry form for the Cabin Fever 100 at Springport Motor Speedway on Sunday, May 1st, the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance 2016 season points opener for the crate late model series. This will be the sixth season of competition for the series whose last five point champions include Erik Jones in 2011, Daniel Hemric in 2012, Cody Coughlin in 2013, Dan Leeck in 2014 and 2015 Champion Driver Dalton Armstrong and 2015 Champion Car Owner Bill Burba.
The Cabin Fever 100 will be part of a huge opening weekend of racing action at Springport Motor Speedway with a possibility of six feature events on the racing program. Besides the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour, the Broaster Chicken Top Speed Modifieds will have their North Tour season opener. Also racing will be the ABC Stock Cars utilizing Spartan Speedway regulations, rules and purse structure while the Compacts/Pony Stocks will also be in action and they will also utilize Spartan Speedway regulations, rules and purse structure.
The weekend will start off with an optional JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour approved rookie open practice on Friday, April 29th from 2pm until 6pm. There is an open practice for all teams racing that weekend on Saturday, April 30th, pits will open at 11am with rotating practice from 1pm to 6pm. Pits open on Sunday, May 1st at 9am, practice begins at 12noon, qualifying starts at 2pm, racing begins at 3pm.
