Hoosier Racing Tire officials announced today their revised requirements for the CRA Hoosier 970* tires for use on Late Model Sportsman type cars. Teams are no longer required to use the 27.0 tire on the right side. After successful testing and introduction last year, Hoosier officials determined the 26.5’s will work fine as a right side tire as well this season. The only track they have concern with is Winchester, and encourage the teams to use the 27.0’s on the right sides there. It will, however, be the racers choice.
The street stocks will continue to use the CRA plated Hoosier Comanche, same as last year.
CRA tires can be purchased at the track the day of the race, or in advance from the CRA tire dealer, Motion Motors, by calling 765-533-4849.
