Two of Four CRA Feature Events With the McGunegill Engine Performance CRA Fall Brawl 2015

 

Salem, Indiana (September 24, 2015): All four Champion Racing Association Powered by JEGS divisions will be in action this weekend in the McGunegill Engine Performance CRA Fall Brawl 2015 at the famed Lucas Oil Raceway located just outside of Indianapolis in Brownsburg, Indiana.  The Champion Racing Association promoted Fall Brawl has become a very popular stock car racing event in central Indiana with each feature winner getting an event signature trophy that includes a pair of boxing gloves. The four CRA divisions include the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS, the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance, the Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman Powered by JEGS and the Stealth Trailers CRA Street Stocks Powered by JEGS.

 

The Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman Powered by JEGS will compete in the Lyons Truck & Trailer 40 on Sunday afternoon. That event will be the eighth event of the 2015 season for the series and the second to last point’s event, the series will finish its 2015 points season on Saturday, October 10th at Winchester Speedway as part of the 44th Annual Winchester 400 Weekend. To date the series has had seven different winners in its seven series point events so far in 2015. Sunday’s race will be a series point event as well as a point event with the Lucas Oil Raceway Stock Car Series, which will conclude its 2015 season on October 18th.

 

Jason Atkinson has taken back over the series points lead after the series last event at Winchester Speedway on Labor Day Weekend. Atkinson got a second place finish in that event, which now gives him a 15 point lead over 2014 series Champion Greg Van Alst. Atkinson has one series victory this year at Lucas Oil Raceway on May 8th while Van Alst also has one victory at Anderson Speedway on July 17th. J.P. Crabtree has now moved into third place in series points, he is 14 points behind Van Alst. Top series rookie competitor Matthew Parsons is now in fourth place in points, he is 14 points behind Crabtree. Billy Van Meter is now in fifth place in points, he is only three points behind Parsons.

 

Other series winners in 2015 include Jack Dossey III at Anderson Speedway on May 2nd, Scotty Tomasik at Anderson Speedway on June 13th, Terry Fisher Jr., who picked up a victory on July 3rd at Lucas Oil Raceway and Danny Trent who picked up a win in the series last event at Winchester Speedway on Labor Day Weekend. Shawn Amor has one series victory in the Lucas Oil Raceway Stock Car Series season opener on April 24th.

 

Amor leads the Lucas Oil Raceway Stock Car Series CRA Late Model Sportsman points with two events left. Jared Thomas is in second, he is 23 points behind Amor. Tomasik is in third place, he is 10 points behind Thomas.

 

The Stealth Trailers CRA Street Stocks Powered by JEGS will compete in the PBM / Erson Cams 40 on Sunday afternoon. That event will be the tenth event of the 2015 season for the series and the second to last event, the series will finish its 2015 points season on Saturday, October 10th at Winchester Speedway as part of the 44th Annual Winchester 400 Weekend. Sunday’s race will be a series point event as well as a point event with the Lucas Oil Raceway Stock Car Series, which will conclude its 2015 season on October 18th.

 

Josh Poore continues to lead the series 2015 points, but that lead has been cut to 11 points heading into Sunday’s event over 2014 series Champion Jason Atkinson. Atkinson, the 2015 CRA Triple Crown Series Champion, picked up his third series win of the season in the series last event at Winchester Speedway on Labor Day Weekend, Atkinson also has two wins at Anderson Speedway. Poore has one series win so far this season, which came at Anderson Speedway on August 8th.

 

Mason Keller has moved into third place in series points, he is 30 points behind Atkinson, Keller picked up his first ever series win in the Triple Crown 200 lap event at Kentucky Motor Speedway on May 24th and finished second to Atkinson at Winchester on Labor Day Weekend. Colby Lane is in fourth place, he is five points behind Keller, Lane picked up his first ever series victory in the Triple Crown 200 lap event at Shady Bowl Speedway on April 18th and won the season opening Lucas Oil Raceway Stock Car Series CRA Street Stock event on April 24th.  Jake McElfresh is in fifth place in series points, he is only one point behind Lane.

 

Other CRA Street Stock winners in 2015 include Robert Amos Jr. in the series event at Anderson Speedway on May 9th, 2012 series Champion Jimmy Kirby at Lucas Oil Raceway on July 3rd and Chuck Barnes Jr. in the 125 lap series event at Lucas Oil Raceway on July 31st.

 

Kirby leads the Lucas Oil Raceway Stock Car Series CRA Street Stock points with two events left. McElfresh is in second, he is only two points behind Kirby. Lane is in third place, he is nine points behind McElfresh.

 

The MEP CRA Fall Brawl 2015 gets started on Saturday, with the pit gates opening at 9:00am. Practice starts at 12:30pm for all four CRA divisions and the Vores Compact Touring Series. The CRA Late Model Sportsman, CRA Street Stocks and Vores Compacts will use group qualifying in their second practice session to set their feature line-ups for Sunday, while the ARCA/CRA Super Series and JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour will do individual qualifying starting at 5:30 on Saturday to set their Sunday feature line-ups.

 

On Sunday, the pit gates open at 9:00am., with the Drivers Meetings starting at 11:00am. There is an Autograph Session with all the drivers competing in Sunday’s events for the fans, then after Pre-Race Ceremonies, racing gets going at 1:00pm., with Last Chance Races (if needed) followed by 310 laps of Feature racing.
