CRA Cabin Fever Schedule of Events at Shadybowl Released

Nashville, TN (Monday, March 27, 2023) – Officials with Champion Racing Association (CRA) and Shadybowl Speedway have released the schedule of events for the 13th running of the Cabin Fever for the Vore’s Welding CRA Late Models and CRA Street Stocks. The traditional season-opening event for both the CRA series and the Speedway features four divisions of racing and over 200 laps of racing on Sunday, April 2nd.

 

The weekend begins on Saturday for teams who want additional time on the track with an open afternoon practice. Pit gates open on Saturday at 11:00 AM ET with a driver’s meeting at 1:15 PM ET. Rotating Open Practice will follow beginning at 2:00 PM ET rotating between CRA Street Stocks, Vore’s Compact Touring Series, Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman, and Modifieds. The open practice on Saturday will end at 6:00 PM ET.

 

Schedule of Events

 

On Sunday, pits open to teams at 8:00 AM ET followed by a driver’s meeting at 9:15 AM ET. The rest of the morning will feature practice sessions for all divisions. Each class will receive two practice sessions before Noon ET. Grandstands open to the public at Noon ET and qualifying begins at 12:30 PM ET. Compacts, Street Stocks, and Modifieds will utilize group qualifying, while the Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman will run single-car qualifying.

 

Racing begins Sunday afternoon at 2:00 PM ET, with Last Chance races as necessary. Otherwise, the Vore’s Compact Touring Series will kick off the show with the B4 Main, followed by the CRA Street Stocks Cabin Fever 75. Vore’s Compacts return with their 40-lap main event, then the Cabin Fever 75 for the Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman. The afternoon is capped off with 50 laps for the open-wheel modifieds.
