Special from Speed51.com – Cody Coughlin has made himself at home with Anderson Speedway victory lane over the years in CRA competition. Not even a severe thunderstorm warning could slow him down Saturday night, leading the final 71 laps to score his fifth win at Anderson overall, and second with the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour.

The defending series champion set fast time in qualifying earlier in the evening and made quick work of the field, taking the lead on lap 29 and never looking back. It was the third time he won at Anderson in the past two seasons, taking two of three ARCA/CRA Super Series races last year.
“It was great. I love coming back here, even if most the fans are booing. I like the ones that don’t,” Coughlin said on the Speed51.TV broadcast. “I love getting to victory lane. It’s very familiar here.”
The race was halted by a severe thunderstorm that passed through on lap 59, which erased a half-track lead over the field. Two hours later, the track had dried off and Coughlin quickly resumed where he left off, leading the final 41 laps caution-free to extend his points lead.
“I didn’t lose anything, it was pretty good. He’s (Keller) been fast all weekend. Just with the rain delay and getting back out here, I’m flying out of town tomorrow so we’re going to head back to the house.”
Mason Keller made a late charge back through the field to finish second. Indianapolis-area racers Josh Cave and J.P. Crabtree finished third and fourth, while former Redbud winner Steve Dorer rounded out the top-five.
The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour will return to action on Sunday, June 27 at Ohio’s Kil-Kare Raceway.
