Two-Time Winner at Lucas Oil Raceway looks to make up for lost time in the ARCA/CRA Super Series
Wyoming, Michigan (Tuesday, July 21, 2015): While the main focus for the 2015 racing season for Brian Campbell has been at his home track of Berlin Raceway (MI) in the tracks Boyne Machine Company Super Late Model Series, the Wyoming, Michigan driver has been itching to get back on the road. The West Michigan standout will get that chance this Friday, July 24th at one of his favorite race tracks; the immaculate 0.686 mile progressively banked paved oval of Lucas Oil Raceway (IN), located west of Indianapolis in Brownsburg, Indiana.
It’s back to ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS competition for the 36-year-old driver who has two wins each in both ARCA/CRA and in Berlin’s Super Late Model Series and it’ll be on back to back nights. First up is the Circle City 100 Presented by Greg Hubler Chevrolet at LOR on Friday night, then its back home to Berlin the following evening for the fifth race within the Template Bodied Super Late Model series at the Marne, Michigan speed plant.
“Going to be a great weekend of racing at two of my favorite race tracks. I have always enjoyed going to Indianapolis and racing there, dating back to days racing in the old ASA Late Model Series,” Stated Campbell as he and his Lakeshore Motorsports Team prepare for the doubleheader weekend. “I know we’re out of the point’s title contention in ARCA/CRA so we can relax in those races now and just go for W’s. We’ll be hitting more of those shows now that the season is about over at Berlin. There are only two shows left there after this weekend.” He added.
Despite missing two races within the ARCA/CRA Super Series season, he is still an impressive seventh in the season long point’s standings with two victories. Those wins came at Toledo Speedway (OH) on April 11th and at his home track of Berlin on May 16th. In those four appearances and in addition to the trips to victory lane, he has a seventh and an eighth place efforts to his credit. At Berlin in the tracks SLM Series, he also has two wins there in four starts and sits third in the points standings.
