Bud St. Amant Memorial 125 at Columbus Motor Speedway to Replace ARCA/CRA Super Series Kil-Kare Date

Former NASCAR Competitor Jeremy Mayfield to Race and Sign Autographs

Salem, Indiana (Thursday, August 6, 2015): Champion Racing Association Powered by JEGS Officials have announced that the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS September 13th event that was originally scheduled for Kil-Kare Raceway, has now been moved to Columbus Motor Speedway and will be the Bud St. Amant Memorial 125 Presented by Oakley Blacktop. The Bud St. Amant Memorial 125 was originally scheduled to be at Columbus on June 27th, but that event was canceled because of persistent rain showers.

“With Kil-Kare Raceway not racing in 2015, the independent promoter of that event decided it would be best to move that event to Columbus Motor Speedway”, remarked R.J. Scott, Managing Partner with Champion Racing Association. “JVM Enterprises will be the promoter of the September 13th event at Columbus with some big support from Oakley Blacktop. This is going to be an awesome Sunday afternoon event honoring a great person who was well respected in the racing community!”

The Bud St. Amant Memorial event on Sunday, September 13th will feature the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS in a 125 lap event along with the very popular Broaster Chicken ICAR Top Speed Modified Tour in a special 50 lap North/South Shootout event. There will also be a local division participating that will be announced at a later date.

JVM Enterprises has also announced that former NASCAR Sprint Cup competitor Jeremy Mayfield will be at the Bud St. Amant Memorial to race with the ARCA/CRA Super Series and will be signing autographs for fans. The Owensboro, Kentucky native competed in 433 NASCAR Sprint Cup Events between 1993 and 2009 with five wins, 48 top fives and 96 top ten finishes. Mayfield has been racing with the KOMA Unwind Modified Madness Series this season. This will be Mayfield’s first time to compete in an ARCA/CRA Super Series event.

“I really hated seeing Bud’s race get rained out in June”, remarked Jeff Miller with JVM Enterprises. “Bud was a friend and mentor to me for 40 years and his family has been a big part of my race team in the past, so I wanted to do whatever it took to make sure we had a race this season to honor his memory. We are really looking forward to having the ARCA/CRA Super Series and Top Speed Modified Tour racing in that event and having Jeremy Mayfield be part of it, but it won’t stop there, we will have some more exciting announcements about this event in the coming weeks!”

On Sunday, September 13th pit gates will open at 9:30am. Practice will begin at 12noon, with qualifying at 2pm. The Race Program will begin at 3:15pm and will include an on track autograph session with all the drivers competing in the ARCA/CRA Super Series Bud St. Amant Memorial 125 Presented by Oakley Blacktop.
